Re: Season 2 DVD Commentary
Hey guys :)
Well I finally just got through the DVD eps with writer and director
commentary on them and I was just curious to see if any of you had seen them
yet. I'm betting Dan has a couple of times by now ;)
I found Joss' commentary on 'Innocence' to the most entertaining. Especially
the parts about Willow and Buffy's bond being rather transcendent, even when
they aren't getting along. Gee, I wonder what happened there?
And also the comment, where he said from episode one, that the number one
principle, when in doubt, put Willow in danger. Not sure how shippy that
really is, but hey, it sounded good to me LOL
I did find Marti Noxon's commentary on both 'What's My Lines' to be rather
annoying at times. She kept getting ahead of herself and commenting on stuff
that if you aren't the biggest Buffy fan and haven't seen all the eps, it
will leave you pretty clueless. It seems that she just shot her mouth off
for 45 minutes at a shot about the show itself and not really the episodes.
And I actually really enjoyed Greenwalt's commentary alot. He has a good
sense of humor on him, and he broke stuff down about the scene in a way that
made it very intriguing. Although his comment about Buffy and Xander and
just watch and see does leave me a bit unsettled. But these things were shot
back in late 2000, so who knows how much validity it has.
Anyway, just wanted to get your opinions on it :)

Buffy:"I could wrestle naked in grease for a living and still be cleaner than
after a shift at the Doublemeat."
Willow:"Plus, I'd visit you at work every single day."
