Oops, forgot the enjoining spell, which is a group casting with Buffy,
Giles and Xander's consent. Doesn't detract from my thesis, but I
wanted to dot the i's.
Oh, and I didn't cover this like I did in a big Willow defense I wrote
for another list, but if anyone wants to mention "Wild at Heart", please
remember that she **didn't** do the curse, and the point of the ep is
that she **can't**, no matter how hard she's pushed. (Nor does she put
a love spell, which she knows firsthand how effective it is, on Oz)
Veruca even makes the point for us, right after it happens: "Wow, for a
minute there, I was actually worried you might play rough." And again,
right after the commercial break: "...you don't have the teeth." Veruca
and Oz are animals; Buffy (who shouldn't let the dangerous Oz leave
town) and Willow aren't.
Because Willow doesn't do that...until Marti makes her do it.
