Kendall called out to Driskell who was one of his employees.A minute 
later Driskell walked up to them and he said yes boss what do you 
want.Kendall said bag up all twenty of the Calico Liberty 120 
pistols,5 bushmaster m17s bullpup,and 5 grizzly 50 big boar.Driskell 
said i will get right on it but before he could walk away Kendall 
said they are also getting five of the stoner sr-25 so bring five of 
them that are still in their transport cases.Driskell said ok and 
then he continued to walk away.Kendall turned to Buffy and Willow and 
he said come on lets go up to my office so i can figure out how much 
to charge you.That made Willow think of something and she said 
Kendall i have to go run out to the humvee to get some of the 
barrabonds so that we can pay you for them.Buffy said that isnt 
neccessary we can pay him with one of our credit cards.Kendall said i 
dont accept credit card payments for my sideline bussiness it would 
make my gunshop too suspicious to goverment agents especially those 
ATF agents or IRS and i dont need or want those bastards breathing 
down my neck.

After paying Kendall for the rifles and pistols they had purchased 
Willow and Buffy started carrying the guns which were in a tote 
bags,the transport cases,or a guncase that held the CQB DSR-1 rifle 
out to the humvee.It took them several trips to move the tote bags,
transport cases,and guncase to the humvee.As they were about to get 
into the humvee Sandy ran out of the gunshop and she called out for 
them to wait.Buffy and Willow looked at Sandy and when she got up to 
Willow she said you guys forgot to get the ammo and she held up two 
metal ammo cases.Willow took them from her one at a time and put them 
on the floorboards of the backseat.

When Buffy and Willow got back to Sunnydale they immedietly went by 
the fire station since it was closer to the interstate than the 
police department was.Buffy and Willow got out of the humvee and they 
walked over to the small door since all the large ones had been shut 
since it was approachng dusk.Buffy knocked on the door after finding 
it locked.A few seconds later a fire fighter walked up and he opened 
the door and he said what do you two want.Willow said we have a 
couple items that we want to give you guys which might enable you to 
protect yourselves if your attacked at one of the nightly calls.The 
fire fighter said what could you possibly give us that would do that.
The next second Fire Chief Stuart said Hanson get back to work i will 
see to these two young ladies.Fire Chief Stuart watched Hanson walked 
away and then he said follow me to my office so we can talk privately.
They followed him to his office and he said how can the fire 
department be of assistance to you two and your friends.Willow said 
we dont need your help sir we came to bring you some items which 
would allow you to protect yourselves if you were attacked while out 
on a call at night.Fire Chief Stuart said call me Paul and what is it 
that you want to give us that will enable us to protect ourselves.
Buffy said five fully automatic 9mm pistols that have clips which can 
hold fifty or a hundred rounds.Willow said the clips for the guns we 
got hold a hundred each and we got two extra clips for each pistol.
Fire Chief Stuart smiled and he said we will accept them of course 
but where are we supposed to get ammo for them which will enable us 
to kill some of the things we run into.Buffy said normally you will 
just need regular 9mm ammo because any large number of shooting will 
attract the attention of either other vampires and demons and they 
will step in to police themselves.Fire Chief Stuart said but what if 
it doesnt.Willow said we will provide you with some ammo but if you 
misuse it in anyway we will cut off your supply.Buffy said follow us 
out to the humvee so we can give them to you.

Fire Chief Stuart led Buffy and Willow out of his office and then he 
called out to his second in command and told him to follow them.When 
they got out to the humvee Buffy climed into the backseat.Buffy 
unzipped the tote bag which contained the pistols and she pulled out 
five of them and ten of the extra clips.Willow took the pistols from 
Buffy and she passed them over to the fire chief and his second in 
command.The fire chief said we will be right back and then he and his 
second in command headed for his office carrying the pistols.Buffy 
looked at Willow and she said where did they go.Willow said they went 
to put the guns up they will be back in a minute.The fire chief and 
his second in command walked back over to them a minute later and 
they collected the extra clips for the pistols.Fire chief Stuart said 
on behalf of the fire department i thank you for the pistols.Buffy 
said your welcome and then she said well we have to be going now we 
got one more stop before we head for home.

Buffy and Willow were about to climb into the humvee when one of the 
paramedics who drove one of the ambulances at night ran up to 
Willow.The paramedic said hey you cant just give some to them and not 
give some to me and the other paramedics.Buffy looked at him and she 
said how many ambulances run at night.The paramedic said only two and 
Buffy said ok Willow lets give them two pistols one for each 
ambulance.Willow pulled out two pistols and four extra clips and she 
handed them to the paramedic.Buffy said you will need to speak to the 
fire chief about the ammo and then she started up the humvee.

As they pulled out of the fire station Willow said well i am glad 
that we bought twenty of them because so far we have given seven of 
them away and we still have to give five more to the police.Buffy 
said well at least we will still have eight of them.Buffy said Willow 
what made you buy five of each of the rifles we dont need that many 
of each of them.Willow said i plan to send one of each to Angel and 
the others and one of the stoner and grizzly to Faith and the other 
legacy guys up in San Francisco as christmas presents.Buffy said 
Willow we could have stopped by Angel's detective agency and given 
them the guns while we were in Los Angeles.Willow said yes we could 
but it isnt christmas yet and i dont want them to get their presents 
early.

When they got to the police station Willow said why dont we take the 
tote bag the pistols are in inside with us.Buffy said ok but we will 
need to get the other eight pistols and extra clips out of it before 
we do.Willow said we can put them in the hidden compartment and Buffy 
said ok lets do it.

When they walked into the police station they went right up to the 
sergeant's desk.The sergeant who was sitting at the desk behind the 
five inch thick wire pexiglass window was looking at a gun magazine.
Buffy cleared her throat and the sergeant glanced up for a second and 
he said what do you want and then he realized who they were and 
dropped the magazine and turned his full attention to them.Willow 
said we need to see the Captain Mathews.The desk sergeant said 
Captain Mathews is unavailable at the present so is there anyone else 
you want to see.Buffy said who else is here thats in command under 
Captain Mathews.The sergeant said the only one here yet is Lieutenant 
Davies and i doubt you want to speak to him.Willow said no we dont 
want to speak to him.Buffy said Sergeant Jason do you know how long 
Captain Mathews will be unavailable.Sergeant Jason said no i dont 
there is no way to tell how long a meeting with the feds can 
go.Willow looked at him and he said he's meeting with some 
feds.Sergeant Jason said yes and then he said you two had better go 
here comes Lieutenant Davies.Buffy said come on Willow we will come 
back tommorrow and give them the items.

Willow and Buffy walked out of the police station and were going 
down the stairs when they came face to face with Lieutenant 
Kirk.Lieutenant Kirk said Buffy what are you and Willow doing at the 
police station.Buffy said we came to give you guys on the night time 
shift some gifts but Captain Mathews is busy as present.Lieutenant 
Kirk said well you can give them to me i will make sure that Captain 
Mathews gets them.Buffy said well if it wont be any hassle and 
Lieutenant Kirk said oh no it wont be.Willow handed him the tote bag 
and she said dont open it up until the feds are gone.Lieutenant Kirk 
said what feds and Buffy said the feds that according to Sergeant 
Jason are in a meeting with Captain Mathews.Lieutenant Kirk said 
thanks for the warning and then he walked up the stairs and entered 
the police station.

Inside Captain Mathew's office Captain Mathews said agents i dont 
know what more i can tell you.Agent Dana Scully said do you really 
expect us to believe that a town that had over double the yearly 
death rate of any major metropolitan city just dropped to almost nil 
in less than three months.Captain Mathews said the records stand for 
themselves and you dont have to take my word for it you can check 
with the coroners office if you like.Agent Mulder said what about all 
the reports of attacks that were done by gang members on pcp or the 
ones that were supposedly done by animals.Captain Mathews said 
several years ago we had a number of problems in our town and we 
werent able to do anything about it because our hands were kept tied 
but that changed when Mayor Klasson and Police chief Dannager were 
elected into office.Agent Scully said are you implying that the 
former chief of police was responsible for tying the hands of the 
police department so you couldnt do anything about what was going on 
in your town.Captain Mathews said he was the one who tied the hands 
of the police department but it was on the orders of Mayor Wilkins.
Agent Mulder said oh come on you cant really expect us to believe 
that the mayor of this town was responsible or that he wanted it to 
continue.Captain Mathews said you dont have to take my word on it and 
then he got up from his chair and walked over to the file cabinet.
Captain Mathews opened the bottom drawer and removed over six folders 
which were each at least filled an inch thick.Captain Mathews dropped 
the files on the desk in front of Agents Mulder and Scully.Captain 
Mathews said those files are full of reports on the death cases i or 
several others were in charge of and most of them have requests 
attached to them for the police department to ask for assistance from 
the goverment.Agent Mulder picked up a folder and he opened it up 
after laying it in his lap.Agent Scully said why didnt you or one of 
the other cops call the FBI directly and request for assistance.
Captain mathews said Detectives James Sloan and Michal Brant did call 
the FBI for help but the next morning they were both found dead 
outside their homes hanging from the telephone lines.Agent Mulder 
said so the rest of you were scared for your lives.Captain Mathews 
said not only our lives but for the lives of our families as 
well.Agent Scully said why didnt you and the others just quit and go 
to some other city to work.Captain Mathews said we couldnt we were 
all legally bound to stay and work here by contracts that we signed 
when we first came to work here.Agent Mulder said Captain Mathews can 
we take these files with us we would like to look over them.Captain 
Mathews said of course but please return them when you are finished 
looking over them.
