[Hmm, I'm about four chapters behind on this--again. *sigh*]

My, my, Buffy's slips of the lips just keep on coming, don't they? If I
was Joyce I'd be rather upset, given all the things Buffy managed to
leave out of "the talk", which was only last night, after all.

The Xander/Willow stuff continues to go well, with the C/X discussion
being framed mostly in "why don't you want me?" terms. (Which is
appropriate, since Willow and Cordy have pretty much made up by the end
of "Phases", even if the key scene got cut.) But I feel the pain of
Willow for being rejected and Xander's confusion as to why his
attraction works the way it does. (We have just come off of "BB&B" and
"it's not that I don't find you sexy", but we're a ways from his
declaration of love at year's end.)

Hmm, when you think of it, Xander's dilemma here is a pretty good
metaphor for a gay teen's struggle with sexual identity. (And Larry is
nowhere in sight...)

But this is all scene-setting and I look forward to the B/W talk, just
as soon as I get to it. I also look forward to the B/G talk, since we
never really got to see Giles immediately after, save for the graveside
scene.
