Re: [FIC: Heaven]

Greetings,

Ahhhh.
Now THATS a fic. Hell, do a little shuffling of names or a bit of rediting it
could be a completly original work. The issue was well done, the background
convincingly explained as from the thinking own mental pov, not as if they
were actaully speaking to someone but just going over their own thoughts.

Another great factor was the direction of the story, the overall basis. It
came from a totally new, and fresh direction. Well, not quite like that. I've
seen many a tale where Buffy is wondering about death and the great 'Beyond';
however your tale did it with an approach I'd never seen, nor thought of,
before. That too makes it worth the time to read it.

Also the tale was not nihlisitic. Again, referring back to the other 'Buffy
wonders about life, death and how many licks it takes to get to the center of
a tootsie pop' stories Buffy is usually a bitter, cynical, self destructive
type. These stories are attempts at 'Dark' or 'Hard Boiled' fiction; usually
the end result is Hazy or 'Soft Boiled, gooey mess that puddles all over the
floor'. Your story, contrawise, was the more uplifting type. Another reasonit
was refreshing.

Of course it can't all be good news. I think the lyrics, or prose, or whatever
it was(I didn't recognise it) did a little damage to the sense of 'Flow' in
the story. Whenever they came up I sorta just 'bleeped' past them like I was
reading 'The Brothers Kazmaraov' and had come to a russian name I couldn't
pronounce. I don't really care for lyrics or prose in the body of fics but
thats more of my personal tastes though my reasoning is that such DO damage
story flows.

Though the total concensus is- Damn good work.

I love it when stories come from angles we never see coming.

I remain, as always,
