Re: FIC: Deeper-Post Season Six Fic(1/1)

I started reading this yesterday, but was too tired to concentrate
and only lasted about 3 paragraphs. Came back to it today and
noticed the amount of feedback, so I figured it must be something
special.

But I wasn't expecting that. Wow. That was incredible. There were
so many thoughts/feelings/issues raised...the one thing I keep coming
back to is...closure. For Buffy, Will and Tara. Not completely, but
on a number of issues. So I feel that yes, you have succeeded in
your task.

I liked Buff struggling with her feelings, not consciously realising
that the big hurdle to her forgiving Willow was forgiving herself for
going after Faith, for being willing to sacrifice Faith to save
Angel. I percieved a parallel being drawn between B/W - they each
broke their own rule - they each targeted a third party, a human,
with the knowledge that said third party might die; but they each did
so acting on their feelings for their lover. They both obviously
still have some issues to work through - Willow in particular (her
outward calm about killing Warren, but her denial and self-hate when
being taunted by "It").

Liked very much the interaction between the "self" aspect of the
characters (including Tara) - felt like they each went away with a
deeper understanding of each other (Buffy feeling Willow's pain at
losing Tara), and it seemed as though they each now carry a little of
each other's souls. Also seemed like Tara was pushing Buffy and
Willow together (Willow "self"'s reluctance to accept the blue spark,
and then their conversation at the end, about not being ready yet -
and, of course, the two "signs").

Unless, of course, I've misread the whole thing. But that was my
take on it - and I enjoyed it immensely. Not easy to read - requires
your full concentration, but it was well worth it!!

cheers,
mudrat
