FIC: learning to live pt 8

Just wondering is anyone liking this? Should I keep going or hang it 
up? Lacking self confidence here. Jen

Summery: Giles brings someone in to help after everything happens in 
season 6. Sorry I suck at this part.

Eight

Previously:  
?..The six of us sat down and devised a plan, I could no longer
be 
the Slayer and we knew the only way was for me to die". The
doorbell 
rang and Gail went to get the pizza and Sara decided that it was time 
for a break

Gail brought the pizza in and everyone dug into it. After they had 
gotten what they had wanted she decided it was time to finish, "
Jen, 
I think it is time for you to hear this part from me, I know you have 
read the journal', Jen blushed at that knowing she had been
caught, " 
but if you don't think you want too than I will understand. Jen
just 
nodded her head for her mom to keep going. " Ok anyway Sam and I
knew 
that if the council thought I was dead then another slayer would be 
called. I felt bad but I told myself that I had earned it. I had a 
baby to think about. So Josie's grandma told us that she knew a
spell 
that would make it appear as though I was dead. It would last a few 
days and then she could reverse it, with no harm to me. My dad went 
to work getting us new identities. It took about a week to get things 
together but finally we were ready. I died three days before my 18th 
birthday. Sam called the council and a new slayer was called.
Josie's 
grandmother reversed the spell on me on my birthday and we took off. 
My dad had set us up in an apartment in Ohio. We figured that would 
be the last place they would look if they ever caught wind of 
anything. I graduate from high school in the spring. Jennifer was 
born in August. I started college a week later. Sam stayed in 
Sunnydale and took over for the new slayer. She was good but not 
exceptional. Things were going really good until right after 
Christmas. I got a call from Sam, there was major trouble going on in 
town and he wasn't sure if they could handle it or not. He asked
me 
to come back and help. I knew that it was going to be big; he 
wouldn't have asked if it wasn't a world-ending event. I
tried to get 
Josie to stay home but she missed her grandma and wanted to see her. 
So we came back. There was a demon, a Rushi, they were very powerful 
things, and it had a spell to open the hellmouth. He had recruited a 
large following of vamps to help and we only had a few days to 
prepare. We weren't, the council had sent another watcher to help
and 
we even had my parents and Josie grandma helping, doing spells. And a 
very old vamp with a soul".
"Angel", Buffy asked. 
"Yes Angel" Sara said, " Well the night came, we left Jen
with a 
friend of my parents and went to save the world again, we won but not 
without lose. We went in as eight and came out as two. There were a 
lot more vamps then we had counted on. They were everywhere. Mom was 
the first to go, then dad, and then Sam. I got to the Rushi just as 
it was about to finish that last of the chant to finish the spell and 
I killed him. When I turned around the new watcher was sitting 
holding Josie in his arms. I sat with her while he went to call for 
an ambulance. I told her she was going to make it and we would go 
back home. She placed her hand on my heart and told me she loved me 
and to take care of our little girl. Just before she died I felt a 
warm feeling in my heart. Josie gave me her magic and all the 
knowledge of how to use it. She knew she was going to die and had 
come up with it somehow. I still don't know how. I almost lost
it, if 
it hadn't been for Jen I would have done exactly what you did, 
Willow. I had to go on for Jen. My mom, dad, Sam, Josie, her grandma, 
the slayer, all were dead. But I had saved the world for my little 
girl. I met Gail that night her and her girlfriend were kind of in 
the wrong place at the wrong time her girlfriend died in the battle. 
A new slayer was called and the council knew I was alive. It was 
chaos for a while the council was livid, they didn't like to be
made 
fools of and that's exactly what I had done. There wasn't a
lot that 
they could do though, with Josie power and my being the slayer I was 
pretty strong. The new watcher defended me and told them that they 
owed me their lives and to back off. They agreed, only if I would 
agree to help if needed and I promised never to say anything to 
anyone about what I had done. So I became kind of a witchcraft 
consultant. I asked Gail to come with me as a nanny and I went back 
to Ohio and packed my stuff. I moved to England and the council got 
me into Oxford. I got a degree in psychology and business management. 
I opened my first club when I was 28. It is still there it is called 
Josie's. The club here is my 4th one. I started counseling
witches 
about 5 years ago. Though Willow is the strongest witch I have worked 
with. I miss Josie and I will always love her. She was light at the 
end of my tunnel, she kept me going and I lost her", Sara started
to 
cry and looked at the group through the tears, there was not a dry 
eye in the bunch. Willow got up and wrapped her arms around Sara and 
they cried together for their lost loves.
" So what happened to the watcher guy who defended you", Dawn
asked?
" Your sitting in the room with him", Sara answered.
"Giles, it was 
you", Buffy asked wiping a tear from her eye?
" Um, yes, it was I", Giles said. " Way to go,
G-man", Xander 
exclaimed.
" Um, thank you, I think", Giles said. " Mom I hate to
break up this 
party but you realize it is after 1:00", Jen informed her mom.
" Oh 
wow I guess I got caught up in things, ok well you guys can stay here 
tonight, since it is so late. There is plenty of room. Dawn, Jen has 
twin beds in her room, so you can sleep there. We have 3 guest rooms 
so that takes care of Anya, Buffy and Willow. Giles you can have my 
room, I will take the bed in the office. Xander, my man you can have 
the couch here. I think between Jen, Gail and I we can come up with 
pj's for you guys. Yes even you Giles, I have some big comfy
jogging 
pant for you and Xander. I will put everyone's clothes in the
wash 
tonight, so everyone will have clean clothes", Sara said taking 
charge. They all filed out to be shown their rooms and to get changed 
for bed. They were all tired and were ready. After everyone went off 
to bed Sara sat in her office and cried herself to sleep.
