Hubris, I'd like you to meet Nemesis...

Sorry about the spam, folks. It wasn't one of those auto-generated
mailings; the member had been on the list for over a year, having
joined before we started moderating the posts of new members as an
anti-spam measure. For some reason, this person decided to spam us, and
is therefore no longer on the list. Still, that'll teach me to think
that we have a perfect spam-prevention method in place; like anything
else, it depends on everybody's cooperation.

Let me reiterate in words of one syllable:

NO SPAM. OR ELSE. Solicitations for financial schemes will not be
tolerated here. Period.
