A train of thought came my way so I jumped aboard to see where it 
would take me....

OK, so there are several spoilers/rumours which have come from 
several sources:

- Eliza Dushku is signed for 5 eps of BtVS (supposedly the last 5)
- rumours abound that SMG won't renew her contract at the end of S7
- Willow will fall in love again - with someone we won't expect

Right. Now, none of the following is from any source other than my 
mind (which is questionable anyway), I was just thinking on those 3 
points and this is what my mind came up with. And I'm out of the 
spoiler loop at the moment, so I don't know if there's anything out 
there that discounts any of this. So, for discussion:

What if they *do* kill off Buffy at the end of S7 (which would be 
tacky - twice before and all that)? Might leave the way open for a 
redeemed Faith to be the resident Slayer in S'dale - cos Dawn as a 
Slayer is not something I could really buy into...not unless she has 
a personality transplant sometime during the season.... 

And since Faith's sexuality has always been interpreted as 
somewhat...erm....flexible...is it possible that Willow does end up 
with a Slayer, just not the one we'd hoped??? The W/F pairing has 
been very successfully written in quite a few fics...I'd dig it.

Just a thought (or three)...
