Re: FIC: Filling in the Gaps (1/?) NC-17
RW,
Probably shouldn't clog inboxes (a sensitive issue for me, obviously)
with separate LOCs on both parts, but had enough stuff to talk about
here that I didn't want to read ch. 2 and forget any of it. So here
goes.
Enjoyed how Willow was trying to be a good friend and insisted on their
following up on their commitment to Tara's party, and how Buffy was
already planning the escape. (Didn't particularly like that Buffy still
hasn't told Willow that Tara was hitting on her--I definitely think she
should let Willow know about that before they go to a social situation
where Tara might very well try to make more moves. Darn it, Buffy, I
thought you would finally learn to communicate! No cookie for you!
*sigh*)
Amused to discover Tara's new tendency towards binge drinking (not to
mention the habit of waking up naked in strange beds, oh my). And
definitely loved seeing her being shocked to see Buffy and Willow making
out. (Ha! Serves you right for hitting on Buffy!) And what was all
that anguish about how long B/W had been together? "Willow wouldn't do
that to me. Would she?" Yeah, angst about whether Willow was cheating
on you--but once you've broken up, it's perfectly all right for you to
be sleazing after Willow's best friend/housemate behind Willow's back,
is that it? Hypocrite.
Of course, my enjoyment of Tara's getting bitten in the butt by karma in
no way diminishes my amusement at Willow's relief to have "gotten away
with it". Er, not so fast, Will :)
Loved Buffy's line about the drunken frat party, and Will's memory of
the joys of partying at Lowell house, tee hee.
And finally, a shoutout for gratuitous continuity. Kent Prep, yay!
(Say, do you think Richard and Callie Anderson were related? That makes
it even sicker, no?)
Can't wait for part 2. Oh, wait, I don't have to :)
