Re: Jolie
No Spoiler Space is needed for "Seeing Red", or indeed for any episode
that's more than one week beyond it's first US airing.
So there's an editing error in "SR"? Not surprised. People said that
"Lessons" seemed to be better edited, which would be because Peter
Basinski was back in the editing room. But he did the premiere last
year, too. It's quite likely we'll be subjected to another year of Lisa
Lassek and her fellow hacks.
(I'm still mad at Lassek for "Once More, With Feeling" when at the
moment that Buffy finally sang "I've been expelled from heaven", she put
in a reaction shot of...Anya. WTF? Here's a hint of who should be
getting the big closeup at this key moment, in order of preference:
1. Willow
2. Willow
3. Willow
4. Giles
5. Willow
6. Buffy herself
7. Xander
8. Dawn
9. Tara & Willow, a two shot
10. Tara, solo [she's the empath, the witch, not Anya].
[Remember, Spike's not in the room yet, and anyway, he already knows.]
And also the editing on "Where Do We Go From Here?" sucked, cutting to
Spike too soon, and never letting us see that Joss had, thematically,
put Buffy and Willow in the front of the group. Sorry, still honked.
[This is why you still need to spend time in post-production, Joss.])
Actually, Tara has three shots in the credits. In addition to the
"Tabula Rasa" group scream (can't stand it, personally), there's still a
shot of Willow doing the "she's with me!" reverse-brainsuck from "The
Gift" in the high-speed montage after Aly's credits, and the shot of
"Fiat Lux" from "Out of My Mind" (which includes Willow and Tara, albeit
only from the waist down) is in there, after Nick's credits.
And while Kali Rocha played both Cecily and Halfrek, to date there's
been no confirmation that the characters are the same person. Brian
Thompson played Luke and the Judge, Geoff Meed played Andrew Borba and
the Hellions' second-in-command, Tom Lenk played Cyrus (one of Harmony's
minions from "Real Me") and also Andrew Wells in many Season Sux eps.
So Kali doing double duty does not mean Cecily=Halfrek

re
"Lessons"
Halfrek did mention being a Vengeance Demon during the Crimean War
(1853-1856) so IF Cecily is Halfrek, we now know that she was already a
demon when she met William in 1880. It's just as certain as the fact
that Angel sired Spike ;) ;)
