Well....didn't we watch "Seeing Red" and notice that the
imminently-martyred Tara used her last complete sentence on Earth to say
that making up was "the best part"?

Sure, we noticed that she said it regarding Buffy and Xander, and that
made it look like a B/X anvil, particularly since Tara was comparing
their mending a friendship to W/T's just-completed all-day reunion
sexathon (perhaps implying that Buffy and Xander were headed in the same
direction)...

...but...

...Buffy doesn't have any "making up" to do with *Xander* now, does she?
If Buffy's supposed to "stop dating demons" (which wipes out Spike...we
think) and "love, give, forgive" (which squeezes out Xander), doesn't
that mean that the logical choice is for her "to be with my best friend,
forever!" ??

Okay, so I'm nuts. That's all right, I'll just retire to the happy land
where Buffy admitted her feelings right after "I Robot, You Jane" and
the girls have spent the last several years snuggling and stroking each
other's hair, and holding each other when they're upset, and being the
cutest twosome in the history of creation. Oh, yeah, and having lots of
really hot sex, that too :D

I hear it calling me now....
