hmm, interesting idea...

However i wonder if since the comparison has already been made between 
escaped slaves in the American south and vampires, if the reasoning for 
hunting/killing/ridding the world of vampires could also be applied then to 
said escaped slaves, and therefore ther descendents.

It would be extremely interesting to see how someone could respond to this 
challenge and not get tangled up in the if 'P' and 'Q' then 'P' argument of 
necessary statements.

Vampires are hunted
Slaves were hunted.

If Vampires kill
then slaves/descendants of must kill

therefore,
if vampires should be killed
slaves/descedants of should be killed.


Doesn't make sense... (how in the world could you compare vampires to 
escaped slaves, or any human for that matter) but it's kind of tricky when 
arguing, isn't it?

Now, i realize i'll probably get a lot of shit about this argument from ppl 
insisting i'm a racist or something dispicable like that. This will 
unboubtedly come from someone who doesn't understand the base logic involved 
in tidy comparisons that don't make sense... ahh, now maybe we're helping a 
writer weave his/her way through the maze.

I wish i had the time and energy to put into this fic, now that i've stirred 
something up (hopefully this will be ignored and you guys can go on your 
merry way.) but i fear the 4 stories i'm already working on would then fall 
even deeper into abandonment.

Only thing i can see... arguing that vampires are innately evil, therefore 
they cannot be dealt with in any other way. While African-Americans are not 
innately evil, or no more so than any other human, therefore negating the 
one comparison that would link all others.

Okay, sorry, i think i just have WAY too many thoughts in my head and no one 
with whom to have an interesting intellecutal conversation with. Please 
forgive. i might regret sending this... but i just can't help myself.
