Wow I was very surprised that the last chapter went over so well. Thanks for 
all the great feedback.I do love those cliffhangers. This story is about to 
wrap up soon. I'm thinking that there is going to be about two more parts o 
finish it up. I thinking I might have it done in the next couple of days, if 
the kids leave me alone, they have the next two days off of school. So 
anyway here we go again. Jen

?Mom, I really screwed it up this time?, Buffy told her mom as soon as 
she had stopped crying. Buffy had fell into her mother?s arms as soon as she 
had come in the door.
?What happened, honey?, Joyce asked her.
?Oh just anger, hurt, jealousy, just all those nasty emotions I told myself 
I wasn?t going to have. I had it in my head to start with maybe ?hey how 
are you? or ?are you ok?; instead I jump right in with accusations. Jenny 
told me to take it slow but did I listen, hell no, it just hurt so much to 
see her like that.?
?Buffy, you have to stop blaming yourself. Willow has so many problems, none 
of which are your fault. If you want to blame someone blame those things she 
calls parents. You can?t change someone who doesn?t want to change.?
?Mom she was doing so good. Why, why did it all go so bad so fast? I told 
her I hated her and that is so far from the truth. She is hurting and it 
hurt me so bad that she couldn?t trust me enough to come to me. I just wish 
I had done things different.?
?Your life is going to be full of what ifs. You made a mistake but you can?t 
change it, all you can do is move on. You are so young all of you are. 
Xander shouldn?t have had to deal with everything he did, you shouldn?t have 
to risk your life to save the world and someone should have seen what was 
going on with Willow a long time ago. We have to play the cards we are dealt 
in life and for the three of you they suck but they are yours to play. 
Tomorrow we will go over to Angels and talk with him and Willow, I think 
it?s time we did something. I won?t stop until something is done. Now why 
don?t you go get some sleep??
?Thanks mom. I love you?, Buffy hugged her and headed for her room.


Angel ran into the emergency room doors and was met by Jenny and Shelly, 
?How is she??
?She was very lucky. The bullet grazed her arm. We sewed it up and she will 
be ready to leave in a little bit?, Shelly told him.
?What the hell happened? Who did this??
Jenny led him to a seat and sat the visibly shaken man down, ?It was her 
mom. Willow won?t tell us why she went off the deep end but she killed her 
stepfather, shot Willow and then killed herself.?
?Is she ever going to get a break?, Angel whispered. Jenny took his hand, ?I 
think she just did. She?s asking for you. I think she made a decision about 
her life, why don?t you go talk to her. I have to call Giles and have him 
arrange some things for me.?


Angel slipped quietly into the room and watched the sleeping red head. 
Willow opened her eyes, ?Hey?.
?Hey yourself. How are you feeling?, Angel asked, thinking he had never seen 
her look so fragile.
?Been better, I need to talk to you. I?ve made some decisions and I need 
your help, old friend.?
?Anything for you?.

The next afternoon Buffy and Joyce rang the doorbell to Angel?s house. 
Angel opened the door, ?Good afternoon ladies, please come in, I was just 
getting ready to call you.? He led then to the living room and Buffy was 
surprised to find Giles, Jenny and Shelly there looking very tired.
?Hey what?s with the meeting?, Buffy asked getting a bad feeling about 
things. She started to pace back and forth.
Angel looked at her, he knew what he was about to say was going to destroy 
the young women, ?Buffy, I think you had better sit down.?
?Don?t tell me to sit down. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?, Buffy yelled.
?After Willow went home last night there was some kind of confrontation with 
her parents. Her mom killed her father and then committed suicide. Willow 
was shot but it just grazed her shoulder.?
Buffy collapsed into a chair, ?W-where is she.?
?She doesn?t want anyone to know. I don?t even know. She left this for you?, 
Angel hand her an envelope. Buffy stood up, took it, and walked out the 
door. She sat down on the porch. She traced the handwriting on the front, it 
was Willow?s, and somehow feeling it made her feel closer to her girlfriend. 
Buffy was afraid to open it, afraid that reading it would make it all come 
true. She opened it.
Buffy,
What can I say? I?m sure that there are no words that say 
what I need to. I
know that the last couple of months have been very hard 
on you and
I am so sorry for that. I never wanted to hurt you. I 
need to get my life
together and I know that I can never do that if I stay 
here. I have asked
Angel to look after you. I?m not sure if I will ever come 
back, so you need to
move on with your life. No one knows where I am going 
and I think it is for
the best this way. Tell Xander I love him. Take care of 
him. He as so much
to offer, make him see it. I do love you, baby. I think 
I always will. Good
luck and stay alive.

Buffy folded the letter back up and put it back in the envelope. Somehow she 
knew that it was over. Willow was never coming home; she didn?t have any 
reason too. Xander found his best friend sitting on the porch and sat down 
beside her putting her arm around her.
?Xander, she?s never coming back.?
?I know. She sent me an e-mail. She told me to take care of you. Maybe it?s 
for the best; I think she was right about not being able to deal with this 
if she were here. Too many skeletons in the closets here.?
?I love her, Xan.?
?I know, I know me too.? Buffy took his hand into hers and they walked back 
into the house.
