Okay, you guys, I don't mean to be the one to put the kibosh on everyone's
rejoicing of Amber/Tara's return to Buffy in the Nov. 12th ep, but it is not
happening. TVGuide.com just released an interview with Joss Whedon today
saying that Amber was definately not returning to the show again, not as
Tara and not as another character. Wheden and the ME people seem to be
spinning it as being a conflict between Amber and Fox over money/contract
issues, but several personal sources close to Amber say that in actuality
Amber refused to return if the storyline would in any way be hurtful to the
fans who are lesbians or W/T shippers. Amber herself has said at various
conventions that she would never come back to the show in any way that would
exploit/damage the W/T relationship as it was portrayed on the show. IMHO,
that is what happened here. Whedon proposed a guest spot or story arc that
Amber felt was too offensive to the fans, and refused. Which means that
Whedon can now pin all his crap on her, and say to the fans "I wanted to do
it...but Amber wouldn't come back." Whatever. Sorry, my opinion of this is
somewhat tainted by my bitterness over last season. Anyway....

Personally, I am a HUGE W/T shipper, but I am happy that Amber will not be
making any appearances. She is definately a woman who has class.
