OK, so I tried to restrain myself from doing this... but I couldn't. 
I have issues with TV shows or other artists hijacking decent songs, 
editing the lyrics, changing the entire meaning of the song and then 
snaffling half the writing royalties.

Before it was butchered to become the theme to Charmed, there was 
once an awesome song by The Smiths, which went like this:
