However, please note that due to the vagaries of Judaism's use of the
lunar calendar, the 10th of Kislev (the first night of Hanukah) falls
this year on November 29th, which is the night after Thanksgiving and
significantly far away from both the Winter Solstice and Christmas. 

Of course if anyone wants to take advantage of that juxtaposition by
playing Willow's dislike of Thanksgiving (see "Pangs") off of Buffy's
possible lack of knowledge in re Hanukah, feel free...
