Redemption's a funny animal. Kinda like a giraffe. You stick your 
neck out and hope to hell some predator doesn't remove your head. The 
pain though... It doesn't go away. But doing a good deed diminishes 
it for awhile. Not like humans; Take 4ccs of dihydracodeine and call 
back in the morning, right as rain. Maybe I should move to LA. At 
least another soul in pain can walk unworried through the shadowed 
streets. But I need to see her. Once more. Just to say "goodbye, I'm 
going. Your guardian angel no more."
Like she'd care.

First kisses are important; That lasting moment as you both give in 
to each other's needs and desires. The tingle of contact, the tactile 
bliss, the steel blade pressing against the small of your back...
"Well, this is a turn up!"
Buffy twisted to confront Faith, and Faith's breasts, as the evil 
skank watched bemused, holding an evil double-bladed Saracen-steel 
knife nonchalantly in her right hand. Her mouth opened, but no sound 
emerged. Willow was doing the same, but then, she'd been large with 
the laryngitis since English class.
"I mean, ridin' shift and all! Wow! No wonder you had your last 
boyfriend sent to Hell. He was probably halfway there already! 
Stickin' him with a sword must've been quite the role-reversal."
Buffy focused on Faith's knife. She liked it. It was kinda cool. 
She just didn't enjoy seeing it in the hands of a psycho hose beast 
like Faith.
"Let's do this," Buffy muttered, and made with the Jet Li.

"Xander, my man," Larry said, enjoying referring to Xander as 'his 
man'. "There are few things in life finer than seeing two schoolgirls 
bitchslappin' the crap outta each other."
"What?" Xander looked up and saw Buffy and Faith letting fly with 
the fists and pheromones.
"Its the way their breasts bounce when they fight," Larry continued, 
his eyes firmly fixed on Xander's manly pecs.
Xander ran off, towards the fight, not really knowing what he could 
do to help but needing to try.
Larry watched him run. "Man, what a nice ass!" he muttered.

"Willow!" Xander ploughed into Willow as she stood only a few feet 
from where Buffy and Faith made with the medieval. She flew sideways 
into a hedge with a "Squee!" and Xander followed on a near horizontal 
plane.
"Are you okay?" Xander asked, his voice hoarse with concern.
Willow pulled a leaf out of her ear as she answered. "Yeah," she 
replied. "Faith didn't hurt me."
"Screw Faith!" Xander shot back, then stopped for a second as he 
considered doing just that. He shook his head. "I mean, you 'n' 
Buffy! Kissage!"
"You heard about that?" Willow's voice dropped to the subaudible.
"Hell yeah," Xander grinned. "The whole school heard about it!
Willow swallowed, her face red. "We'd better see if she's okay."

"You're okay!" Buffy and Willow squealed as Willow extricated 
herself from the hedge like Rambo emerging from a wall of mud. Except 
without the speed, agility, and overwhelming need for a bath. Maybe a 
hairbrush and a manicure.
"How'd you end up in a hedge?"
"Where'd Faith go?"
Their questions didn't seem to matter; only the need to be in each 
other's arms like squidgy magnets. Buffy held Willow close and they 
kissed. Maybe this kiss wasn't as memorable as the first. There were 
no imminent signs of danger for one thing. Okay, there was a bit of a 
crowd forming, not least of which was Xander making with the bug-
eyes. But that was okay.
They were together.

Angel stepped back from his vantage point. He'd watched the whole 
thing from a storm drain in the gutter; a lurking monster in the 
dark. Steven King would've been proud.
"Dear Lord," was his summation. Things were just way too weird 
around here. He needed sanity and stability in his life. He decided 
to head for LA.
