Ooo... I like a challenge!
Anne-Lise.

Rain pattered against the window as the storm raged outside. A peal
of thunder echoed ominously and woke the Slayer from her light
slumber. Buffy liked the rain.
Heavy rainfall, like snow, was a rarity in Sunnydale. But when it
came, it came with a vengeance. The rain drove everyone indoors,
everything indoors. Which, Buffy reflected, is a good thing when you
live on a Hellmouth.
A flash of lightning lit her room momentarily, and Buffy saw Willow
standing beside her bed, eyes wide and staring.
"Willow?" Buffy queried. She'd invited Willow over to spend the
night and have a bit of a girl's night in. Her mother was away in New
York on some junket to look at Etruscan objets d'art in some snooty
gallery, and with her Slayer Duty on hold thanks to the rain, now
seemed like a good time to catch up on weepy movies and discuss
mascara.
Or more pertinently, to discuss the Angel-shaped vacancy in her
romantic life now that he'd skipped town. With College looming on the
horizon like an iceberg, and Graduation now a dim memory (Last week -
an eternity to a Slayer!), Buffy had a good couple of months to relax
and enjoy the break. Albeit a break where she spent her nights
patrolling with only Mr. Pointy for company. A break with a stake. A
stake break.
"Willow!" Buffy called out once more. Willow, however, continued to
stand immobile. Buffy climbed out of bed, her Slayer senses on full
alert. She noted the slow rise and fall of Willow's chest and the
glazed expression on her face.
Buffy stifled a giggle. She didn't know Willow was a sleepwalker!
Slowly, Willow's hands raised, causing Buffy to rapidly consider her
options. Vaguely, she remembered hearing warnings about not waking
sleepwalkers. What they were, exactly, she couldn't recall. Maybe
their legs fell off, or something.
Buffy shivered as Willow's hands brushed against her skin. One hand
pressed against her right thigh, the other lightly caressed her
cheek. She swallowed, feeling her cheeks burn.
Emotional turmoil! Buffy recognised the feelings threatening to
engulf her. Love battled anxiety, desire fought restraint.
Willow slid closer and embraced Buffy completely. Although the hug
felt more sisterly than erotic, tears dripped from Buffy's eyes as
barriers fell. She stroked Willow's hair, such soft, silky hair.
Buffy's eyes burned as she closed them, in perfect counterpoint to
the blush that made her cheeks glow and the fires of passion that
raged between her legs.
A cry forced its way past Buffy's lips, a sound somewhere between a
moan and a sob. Willow's face turned, slightly, and Buffy tilted her
head to share a kiss.
The kiss was everything Buffy had ever dreamed it would be. Her
whole body shook with suppressed desire. She needed release, needed
to love and be loved by the red-headed goddess who'd graced her life
with such perfection.
Willow's breathing quickened as they broke the kiss. Was she
finally awake? How would she react to waking in the sensual embrace
of her best friend?
Buffy tried to extricate herself from Willow's hold, but she
realised there was no gentle way to do so. She ceased her half-
hearted struggles. Willow's perfect lips parted once more, and
somehow Buffy found the strength to resist her carnal urges.
"Willow?" she entreated. "Willow...?"
Willow mumbled incoherently and Buffy realised she was still deeply
asleep.
"I love you," Willow whispered, unexpectedly, and Buffy's heart
threatened to either stop or explode.
"I love you too," Buffy replied softly.
Willow suddenly laughed, making Buffy jump a little. "It isn't time
yet!" she said.
Buffy frowned. "Isn't time for what?"
"I love you," Willow said again. "I always feel safe in your arms."
Tears dripped from Buffy's cheeks making ugly splotches on her
night-gown. "Oh Willow..."
"Forever?" Willow murmured. Her face seemed radiant, happier than
Buffy had ever seen it before. "Tara?" Willow laughed again, dreaming
some unfathomable conversation. Her face became serious,
earnest. "You complete me."
