Mulder and Scully thanked the janitor for showing them the way to 
Harry's Stein's office before Mulder knocked on it.They both heard a 
deep bellowy voice yell go away I'm busy.Scully glanced at Mulder for 
a second and he nodded his head in agreement.They had been partners 
for so long they could sometimes tell what the other was thinking.
Scully said its your turn to be the good one I'll be the bad one.
Mulder just smirked and he said thats fine with me i always like the 
way you make guys squirm when we are questioning them.

Mulder opened the door and held it open for Scully who entered first 
and he followed her shutting the door behind him.Harry Stein who was 
sitting behind his desk looked up when he heard the door open.Harry 
Stein was about to yell when he saw a beautifull redheaded woman walk 
into the office followed by a man.Scully walked right up to the desk 
and she immedietly flashed him her badge and informed him that she 
was Special Agent Dana Scully of the FBI.In a hesitant tone of voice 
Mulder said I am Special agent Mulder of the FBI while constantly 
glancing over at Scully acting as if he was frightened of her.Harry 
Stein sat up straight in his chair and put the newspaper which he had 
been reading to the side of his desk.

Harry said to what do i owe the honor of a pair of FBI agents.Scully 
said me and Agent Mulder were sent here to investigate the very large 
annual death rate that this town had up until a few years ago.Mulder 
said we spoke to Captain Mathews yesterday and he informed us that 
you had taken over a large number of those cases so you might know 
something which he didnt.Harry Stein started to squirm in his chair 
although he tried his best not to because he was very frightened and 
didnt want the two feds to detect it.Scully said actually what 
Captain Mathews said is that you were constantly taking over the 
cases from other cops and closing them quite quickly.Harry Stein 
really got scared but he reacted thinking quickly thanks to years of 
service in the police department.Harry Stein said I'm afraid Captain 
Mathews mislead you because he has never liked me and i assure you 
the cases were not closed without good reasoning.Mulder said how can 
that possibly be from several of the files i read last night you 
would take the case over one day and close it the next.Scully said 
Mr.Stein lets cut the shit we all know that you closed the cases 
quickly after taking over them from the other cops.Mulder said 
according to Captain Mathews you and City Hall applied pressure to 
all the cops to close the cases as quickly as possible no matter 
whether the killer or killers were found.Harry said a slight glimmer 
of a way to slide out of this and he jumped at it.Harry said the 
other cops werent just the ones to feel the pressure from City hall I 
was also feeling it and I thought it was best to cut down on the 
pressure as much as possible.Mulder said so you're saying that you 
closed the files so quickly as to cut down the pressure you and the 
others were on.Harry said yes i had worked on and seen a lot more of 
those cases and in none of them did any of us cops find anything 
which could be linked to certain person or persons.

Scully looked over at Mulder and she winked her right eye in such a 
way that Harry Stein couldnt have seen telling him it was time to 
move on to step two.Mulder said Mr.Stein while me and Special agent 
Scully were reading the files last night that Captain Mathews gave us 
we soon realized that most of the so called deaths were the work of a 
serial killer.Scully said actually its more likely the work of two or 
more serial killers that were working together for some reason.Harry 
Stein was shocked and he said on what evidence do you make that 
assumption.Scully said most of the deaths had one or two things in 
common.Scully said some had bite marks on their throats or other 
parts of the body and most of their blood was missing.Mulder said 
others had wounds and such to suggest that they were the work of 
animals.Harry said you assume that because of the bloodless or 
mutilated bodies that it is the work of one or more serial killers.
Scully said yes we do and they are very intellegent and went to great 
lengths to conceal that the deaths were the work of serial killers.
Scully leaned over the desk so she could look right into Harry 
Stein's eyes and she said if the FBI had been notified back durring 
the killings were happening we could have most assuredly have caught 
the serial killers.Harry Stein said well why dont you start 
investigating now since your already here.Scully leaned even further 
forward and she said we are already investigating but its going to be 
a lot harder to do it since they have obviously left your town and 
moved onto who knows where.Mulder said yes it most definitely will 
but we will hopefully find something to lead us to the killers.

Harry Stein suddenly thought of something and he said hey i might be 
able to help you two out.Mulder looked at him and she said what do 
you mean.Harry said a number of years ago a teenager girl named Buffy 
Summers killed a traveling salesman named Ted.Scully said what does 
that have to do with the serial killer case.Harry said that might 
have been the start of her killing routine.Mulder said its possible 
but unlikely since the killings have to be the work of one or more 
serial killers.Harry said she could have recruited some of those 
loser friends of hers.Scully said it sounds to me like you have 
something personal against the Miss.Summers and her friends.Harry 
said it may sound like that but its not true I am just giving you a 
sugestion which you can check out or not whatever you decide.Scully 
said if Miss Summers and her friends were the serial killers i doubt 
they would have just stopped killing for no reason.Harry said your 
right but then he said but what if they decide to try something new 
since serial killing was so easy.Mulder said like what and Harry said 
gun smuggling or something like that.Scully said how the hell did you 
jump from serial killing to gun smuggling.Harry said Agent Scully i 
have a large number of pictures that show Miss.Summers and her 
friends being armed from everything from pistols to fully automatic 
machine guns.Scully said show us these pictures and Harry Stein said 
ok and he pulled out several large photo albums from a file cabinet 
that was behind his desk.Harry Stein handed them the photo albums and 
he said go ahead and look through them i have to go make my rounds.

For the next twelve minutes Mulder and Scully looked through the 
photo albums and they were both shocked by the large number of 
different types of guns they were armed with.Scully said we had 
better contact Skinner and have him check them out.Mulder said first 
we need to find out who all of them are so we can check them 
out.Scully said your right and then she looked at the clock on the 
wall.Scully said i wonder how long Mr.Stein will be taking on his 
rounds.Mulder said i have no idea but lets go back to the police 
station one of the cops will know them.Scully said yes and i want to 
talk to Captain Mathews and hear why he hasnt done anything about 
these young men and women having these guns.
