After leaving the dog track Mulder and Scully headed toward the 
police station.They were stopped at a red light when Scully said 
Mulder i doubt very seriously that Miss.Summers and her friends are 
the serial killers but we need to check them out anyways.Mulder said 
i am in total agreement with you.Scully turned to look at the 
cemetary they were driving by and she said Mulder there is definitely 
something wrong about this town.Mulder said what makes you say that.
Scully said Mulder we just drove past a large cemetary and a town 
this size shouldnt have more than three at the very most.Mulder said 
so what.Scully said Mulder between our visit here yesterday and today 
we have gone by six large cemetaries.Mulder glanced over to Scully 
and he said well its likely that some of the cemetaries arent used 
anymore.Scully said no they all looked to be in too good of shape to 
be very old.Mulder thought a second and he said they would need 
several large cemetaries to deal with all the murders that 
occurred.Scully said Mulder if you dont remeber it was stated in the 
files we read that most of the bodies of the people who were killed 
were cremated to cut down on the town's burial expense.Mulder looked 
over at Scully and he said damn your right and that does make me 
wonder why this town has so many cemetaries.

Five minutes later Mulder drove the car into a parking space right 
in front of the police station.Mulder and Scully got out of the car 
and walked up to the front entrance.Mulder took two steps in front of 
Scully as to open the door for her.Scully looked at him and she said 
i appreciate the gesture but cut the gentlemanly stuff out we are 
here as FBI agents not a lady and gentleman.

Once inside the police station Scully walked up to the desk 
seargent's booth and she said I'm Special agent Scully of the FBI and 
me and my partner Special Agent Mulder need to see Captain Mathews.
The desk sergeant said I'm sorry Ma'am but Captain Mathews isnt here 
he doesnt come on duty til about six o'clock this evening.Mulder said 
but he was here yesterday afternoon when we came here.The desk 
sergeant said yesterday Captain Mathews came in early to relieve 
Captain Neilson who had a doctor's appointment.Scully said well in 
that case we would like to speak to Captain Neilson.The desk Sergeant 
said thats fine you can go on back but his office is the one to the 
right of Captain Mathews.Mulder said the two captains dont share an 
office.The desk sergeant said no they dont and neither do the other 
two Captains who work here.Mulder said you guys have four captains.
The desk sergeant said yes two for night shift and two for day shift 
that way each of them works only three and a half days.

When they reached the captain's desk Scully knocked on the door 
which was closed.Captain Neilson looked up at them and then he waved 
his hand gesturing for them to enter.Scully and Mulder walked into 
the office and they both pulled out their badges and introduced 
themselves to Captain Neilson.Captain Neilson said Captain Mathews 
left a note for me and the other Captains to tell us that you were 
investigating the large number of deaths we had several years 
ago.Scully said thats good to hear that way we wont have to.Mulder 
said Captain Neilson we just came from the dog track where we talked 
to Harry Stein for almost an hour and some of what we learned was 
quite startling if not terrifying.Captain Neilson said let me guess 
whatever he told you had to do with a Miss.Summers or some of her 
friends.Both Mulder and Scully were shocked by his being able to 
guess about what they were talking about.Mulder said how could you 
possibly know that it was about them.Captain Neilson said Harry Stein 
became obsessed with Buffy Summers durring a case where a so called 
traveling salesman was killed and the obsesson soon enlarged to her 
friends as well.Mulder said Harry Stein mentioned that as well is 
there anything you can tell us about the case.Captain Neilson said 
Miss.Summers was accused of killing a traveling salesman named Ted 
who was dating her mother at the time.Scully said what happened to 
the case.Captain Neilson said the charges were dropped because over 
twelve people witnessed seeing Ted walking around after Buffy was 
supposed to have killed him.Mulder said those people wouldnt have 
been some of Miss.Summers friends would it.Captain Neilson said some 
of them saw Ted but we didnt take their words for it it was twelve 
other people who saw him as well one of them being a cop.Scully said 
if thats true i guess she couldnt have killed him.Captain Neilson 
said no she couldnt have but i almost wish that she had.Mulder and 
Scully both looked at Captain Neilson wondering if he was crazy or 
something.Captain Neilson said before you jump to any conclusions let 
me explain why i said that.Captain Neilson said after Ted's so called 
death we found out that in each of the last twelve towns he had been 
working at there had a woman found killed.Mulder said you believe 
that he may have been the one who killed the twelve women.Captain 
Neilson said i dont believe it i know it for a fact.Scully said what 
do you mean.Captain Neilson said each of the women had been dating a 
traveling salesman named Ted right before they were killed and a 
sketch of Ted was sent to all those towns and he was identified as 
the one who had been dating the twelve women.

Scully said Captain Neilson Mulder mentioned earlier that some of 
what Harry Stein told us we found quite startling and 
terrifying.Captain Neilson said what did he tell you that could be 
both startling and terrifying.Mulder said he showed us pictures of 
people who are supposed to be Miss.Summers and her friends.Captain 
Neilson said aw damn has he been stalking them again.Mulder said what 
do you mean stalking.Captain Neilson said back before he was fired 
from the police force he spent almost all his time whether on duty or 
not following either Buffy or her friends around.Scully said is that 
the reason he was fired from the police force.Captain Neilson said 
well its partly that and that he tried to cover up the deaths.Mulder 
said well thats not surprising but what was surprising to me and my 
partner is that Miss.Summers and her friends supposedly have 
possession of a large number of fully automatic guns which are 
illegal to be privately owned.Captain Neilson smiled and he said i 
and the other Captains all know about their large gun collection 
which does include a large number of fully automatic guns.Scully said 
then why havent you or one of the other Captains done something about 
it or contact the ATF if you were afraid to handle it yourselves.
Captain Neilson said there was no reason to contact the ATF since it 
isnt illegal for them to have the gun collection since they all have 
federal permits which not only own the guns but to transport them 
around the whole United States.Scully and Mulder were shocked and 
Scully said you cant be serious.Captain Neilson said i am completely 
serious and you can see copies of their permits if you like we have 
it on file here.Mulder said we would like to see the copies if you 
dont mind.Captain Neilson said of course not and then he said just 
wait a moment i'll go get them.

Several minutes later Captain Neilson returned with a large stack of 
files and he handed them over to Scully and Mulder.Mulder and Scully 
started looking through the files one at a time.Each file was filled 
with guns permits for specific people.Mulder looked over at Captain 
Neilson and he said sir how could they afford such guns and what 
reason could they have given the goverment for getting them.Captain 
Neilson said they are all quite well off from what i have heard they 
are big into the stock market.Captain Neilson said i cant be sure how 
they explained why they wanted the guns but it could possibly be for 
protection or security work.Scully said what do you mean.Captain 
Neilson said well Miss.Summers and her partner Miss.Rosenberg are 
insured couriers for several antique and art galleries spread out 
around the country.Mulder looked at Captain Neilson and he said 
Miss.Rosenberg wouldnt happen to be Willow Rosenberg would 
she.Captain Neilson said that is exactly who she is but a word of 
warning she doesnt like to be hounded so if it isnt official 
bussiness i suggest you dont bother her.Scully said you dont have to 
worry we dont bother anyone unless absolutely neccessary and only if 
its offical.
