At a quarter till twelve Joyce pressed the button on the entercom 
pannel in the kitchen and she said everyone report to the dining room 
lunch is about to be served.Amy and Tara ran to the kitchen to see if 
there was anyway they could help Joyce out.When they asked her if 
they could be of assistance she said yes you can.Joyce said one of 
you please go pour the tea while the other helps me carry the food 
out to the table.Amy said I'll pour the tea and Tara said ok I'll 
help Joyce with the food.Amy had just finished pouring tea into a 
fourth glass when Anya and Xander walked up and Xander was carrying 
Jennaine in his arms.Anya took Jennaine from him and she placed her 
in a playpen that was about ten feet from the table.

A minute later Buffy,Willow,and Oz walked up to the dining table and 
then Joyce walked out of the kitchen.Joyce said everyone start 
sitting down there are only a few more dishes to bring out and 
me,Amy,and Tara can get them.Willow looked at Buffy and she said guys 
i dont know if you forgotten but the ones who cook the holiday meals 
and help serve them dont have to clean up after the holiday meal.
Xander said dang it i forgot all about that.Buffy said most of us 
forgot about it it seems but there is nothing we can do about it now.
Amy and Tara walked out of the kitchen together carrying a large 
platter that had a big turkey on it and they placed it in front of 
the head chairs which Giles sat at.Tara looked around and she said 
hey where is Giles and our guest.Buffy said i think they are outside 
checking out Giles's Aston Martin.Willow said I'll go tell them 
dinner is ready and she headed for the front foyer.

Joyce walked out of the kitchen and over to the table carrying a 
smoked ham which she put across from the turkey.Joyce looked around 
and saw that almost everyone was seated but she didnt see Willow,
Giles,or Miss.Croft.Joyce said Buffy will you please go see if you 
can find Willow,Giles,and our guest.Buffy said there is no need mom 
Willow went to go get Giles and Miss.Croft they are supposedly 
looking at his car. 

When Willow walked out of the house she saw them standing over at 
the Aston Martin and looking at the engine.Willow walked over to them 
and she cleared her throat to let them know she was there.Giles 
looked at Willow and he said what is it Willow.Willow said its time 
for lunch and i dont know about you but i dont want to keep Joyce 
waiting.Giles said Heaven forbid we wouldnt want to do that and then 
he said come on Lara lets go eat.Lara said before we sit down at the 
table we need to wash up.Giles said we can do that in the kitchen its 
the closest room with a sink to the dining room.

Four minutes later everyone was sitting at the table and Joyce said 
Giles would you like to say the prayer tonight.Giles said yes i 
would.Giles closed his eyes as did the others before bowing his 
head.Giles said dear lord we ask you to bless this food before us we 
are about to eat.We ask that you watch over us and help guide us with 
what we have to do.We ask that you care for those of us who have 
fallen and joined you in heaven.Giles hesitated for a second and then 
he said Amen and all the others said Amen as well.Giles looked at 
Willow and he said it is your turn Willow.Willow closed her eyes 
again and she started saying a prayer in Hebrew in memory of her 
parents who she missed very much.

When Willow was finished Giles stood up and he looked for the knife 
that he was to use to cut the turkey.Giles looked at Joyce and said 
where is the cutting knife.Joyce said blast i knew there was 
something i had forgotten and she started to get up from the 
table.Giles said sit down Joyce I will go get it its the least i can 
do since you cooked us this meal.When Giles returned from the kitchen 
he started cutting up the turkey and from their moved onto the smoked 
ham.

The food was passed around the table so that everyone could serve 
themselves.Lara said Joyce this food looks delicious and i cant wait 
to dig in.Joyce said thank you and I really hope you find it to your 
liking.Lara said oh i am sure i will and this will be the first time 
since my father died that i have attended a christmas dinner like 
this.Buffy was serving herself some homemade macaroni and cheese when 
she said Mom what exactly do we have for desert.Joyce looked at Buff 
and said the main meal comes before the desert Buffy you know 
that.Buffy said of course i do i am just trying to find out how much 
of the food i should eat so that i can leave room for desert.Joyce 
said we have banana pudding,strawberry tarts,baclava, and Pecan pie 
ala mode.Xander said well Buffy you wont be the only one leaving room 
for desert.Lara said oh the baclava and strawberry tarts both sound 
devine.Giles said Buffy dont you and Willow forget that you have to 
workout this afternoon so dont over endulge yourselves with food.Lara 
looked at Buffy and she said i might be needing a workout after lunch 
myself is it ok if i join you and Willow.Willow said of course maybe 
we will be able to learn a move or two from you.

After lunch Buffy,Oz,Willow,Xander,and Anya all went into the 
kitchen to clean it up.Giles was exempt since he was showing Lara 
around the estate.Joyce relaxed in the living room watching a movie 
she had been wanting to see.Amy and Tara attended to Jennaine since 
her mother and father were helping clean the kitchen.It took them 
about thirty minutes to get the kitchen clean.Willow said i dont know 
about the rest of you guys but i am glad that we have two dishwashers.
Anya said i am with you but whats even better is that one of them is 
a dishwasher like those used in restraunts.Buffy said i have to agree 
with you Anya because it sure washes the dishes and stuff quickly.

Two hours later Buffy and Willow walked into the living room where 
Giles,Joyce,and Lara sitting watching a movie.They walked up to Lara 
and said Lara we are going to go workout do you still want to join 
us.Lara got up from the couch and she said oh yes.Giles turned to 
face them and he said Lara i will call you via entercom when they 
arrive.Buffy,Willow,and Joyce all turned to look at him and Joyce 
said who are you expecting to come here Giles and why.Giles said i 
contacted Wesley and he and his associates are coming down here along 
with the charm sisters.Willow said why are they coming here.Lara said 
they are coming to get some of the books you saw earlier Willow.

Buffy and Willow led Lara over to the secret door to the underground 
complex and opened it up.Lara was startled and she said boy i didnt 
even see that there was a door there.Willow said its almost totally 
invisible when its closed unless you know its there.Lara said may i 
ask where this leads to.Buffy said it leads down to an underground 
complex thats built beneath the house and some of the grounds as 
well.Lara said you guys had this place built for you right.Buffy said 
no it was built for a goverment project that was closed down but 
Willow bought the house and property from the goverment after the 
group had left town.Willow said the gym we workout in is just 
ahead.Lara said is there by any chance that you might have some 
clothes that might fit me which i can workout in.Buffy said we have a 
complete assortment of workout clothes in almost every size because 
we are never sure who might drop in to workout with us.Willow said 
both me and Willow have had over a dozen instructors in hand to hand 
combat both armed and unarmed not including Giles.Lara said so you 
two should be pretty good.Buffy said we are more than just pretty 
good.Lara said thats good to hear and then she said how about the two 
of you spar against me.Willow said that wouldnt be fair.Lara said yes 
it will because i hold a three dan blackbelt in over six martial 
arts.Buffy said Lara I am a lot stronger than i look and so is Willow 
for that matter.Lara said Buffy i know you are a slayer Giles told me 
earlier this morning and i still am sure that i can take on both of 
you.Buffy said ok but i strongly believe you are going to regret it.

Twenty minutes later Lara was laying on the practice mat panting for 
breath and hurting all over.Willow said are you ok Lara.Lara nodded 
her head and then said i just need to rest for a little while.Buffy 
said ok and then she said come on Willow lets continue our workout.
Buffy and Willow faced each other and after bowing they started 
sparing full contact.Lara just laid on the mat for a few minutes 
before turning onto her side so that she could watch them from a 
better position.Lara was totally surprised by what Willow and Buffy 
could do and she was even more surprised that Willow was able to hold 
her own against a slayer.
