I want to apologize to the group for this off topic post. Sorry Dan I couldn't let this post go without comment and if it gets me in trouble then sobe it.

First: Diana33 the reason I sent out the question to the moderators is that I wanted to be polite and ASK before I posted an off topic fic here. Notso I could be made to feel properly chastized.

I am sorry you took my post as a personal attack on you and your writing.I was just making general observations and picked Xander because of seasonsix.


Second: I know this is a F/F dominated list. The reason I joined it was because of my love for Buffy/Willow fanfic.

And finally if you had taken the time and researched what I have posted here you would have seen that my fics do in fact have a lot of F/F content and are not straight het fics. Granted my largest fic in progress (Cris de Coeur) does have (god forbid) an active functioning penis involved in it as part of a threesome, but I don't portray Xander as the "big-man-Christ-figure-hero saves the poor little helpless slayer with her equally helpless Witchy side-kick" character you described.

Once again, that was not a personal attack on you or your writing; but a general observation. I am sorry that it wasn't clear in my post.

Right now my bitterness over the show has manifested itself into a general hate of all things Xander-carpenter, and considering you are writing Xander-centric fiction I can understand how you could take my reference incorrectly. For that I am deeply sorry.

My comments were meant as general observation that there seemed to be so much off-topic traffic on the list now, as opposed to two years ago, and also, a real confusion as to why "people" (That includes everyone, not just you) would want to post straight fiction on an F/F list, when there are literary hunreds of other lists? But, I seem to have put my foot in it enough, and unlike Joss "Gay is so passé" Whedon I know when to take this misunderstanding to a more private forum.

As a contributing writer to this group, I feel as if you have just chewedme out for even insinuating that Xander is even an active character on BTVS and I find that insulting as a fan, as a contributing writer, and as a member of this group.

I am sorry you feel that way; as I say I did not mean that as a personal attack on you, though in retrospect I can see how it came across that way. In the future I will limit my posting to C&C or as the old timers used to say, "feedback."
