Anyway...........
I actually really enjoyed this episode. I'm liking them more and more as the
season progresses. It actually had a plot, moved through things, had action,
overall was a fairly well rounded episode for my liking.
As for the Willow/Buffyness. It was nice. Marti has this tendency to always
at least let them have a scene together in her episodes. And the concern
Buffy was showing for Willow was sweet. And she kept saying Will, not just
Willow, which I liked because it's the affectionate nickname that seemed
missing all last year. The cradling in the lap, well semi in the lap was
really nice, plus with the hair petting. Vaguely reminded me of Wild At
Heart, which surprise, was a Marti ep too.
Also like Willow picking up on Buffy's tiredness and weariness. Shows
someone still pays attention to their best friend. Even if I did find Buffy
a bit standoffish in that scene for some reason.
And that brings me to Kennedy. Well her flirting was obvious. And the look
on Willow's face the first time was so funny. What with Dawn interrupting
right after the innuendo asking if Kennedy could eat LOL
But the scene that made me double take was between Kennedy, Willow and Buffy.
Willow tried to reassure the Slayers in Training with a 'guarantee' line.
And Kennedy affords her a small smile. Then Will moves over to talk to
Buffy, her worry obvious. To make Willow feel better, Buffy says a similiar
'guarantee' line. To which Kennedy shoots up off the sofa and interrupts
them! LOL Something made me think the Slayer wannabe was a tad bit jealous.
And the blocking for that shot was interesting as well. They were standing
in a perfect triangle. Of course I'm reading way too much into this, aren't
I?
As for the badness. Well, Willow going all grr again for a second really
pissed me off. Again. Marti does it. Again. And Buffy gets blown clear
across the room. Again. I mean it leant to a nice shipper scene, but
still.........
And I'm definitely noticing what Dan was saying about Xander taking over
Willow's place in Buffy's life. I mean he even had the best friend line in
there this time. Plus he went with Buffy to go bury the seal again, not
Willow. Where exactly was Willow anyway? And there was the little scene
between B/X while Willow was casting the spell. All of those little moments
used to be of the Buffy/Willow variety. And now they're not. I just don't
get it!
Ok, anyway, I've ranted far longer than I intended to, sorry.

Buffy:"I could wrestle naked in grease for a living and still be cleaner than
after a shift at the Doublemeat."
Willow:"Plus, I'd visit you at work every single day."
