Well I already gave fb for Chapter 1 on the other list (and thank you
for bringing this over here), so let me attend to just the second part.

Much as I'm glad to see that this is taking a clear B/W turn, I do feel
bad for Faith. Cheating on your lover before they can cheat on you is
just a self-destructive, self-fulfilling prophecy. When you're reduced
to asking SPIKE if he's going to call, you know you've messed up, lol.

Meanwhile, you covered Buffy's anxiety with Willow quite simply: "She
wished Willow felt the same about her, and then sometimes she wondered
if they'd fall apart together." With her relationship with Faith having
proven unfulfilling, Buffy has to wonder whether she could make it work
with Willow, or if she'd lose her, too. And I had to enjoy the
simplicity of Buffy's confession, telling Willow what she'd already told
Spike.

And, oh Joss, how I wish Buffy had just shot down Spike that way on the
show: "I'm a lesbian, Spike, and I'm in love with my best friend." For
all the angst your Buffy has in this fic, it's a kick to see her so free
and self-aware.

Lastly, I should say a thing or two about the humor--it's a hoot. You
write a darn good Xander ("Sir, yes sir!" Hee!), an Anya who's actually
trying to fit in instead of just randomly crass, and Giles as a mall
Santa? Comedy Gold!
