Summary: Willow and Buffy admit their feelings for each other.

Chapter Four: Christmas Eve 

As always thanks for the feedback and I think Chapter Five will 
finish her off, kiddies :-P 

"Alright then, I guess we should get to the whole,..err presents 
thing" Giles pushed his bag of gifts out into the middle of the floor.
"Who goes first?" Willow asked looking around at her friends.
"I nominate slayer girl," Xander said.
"I second that also" Anya nodded
They all looked over at Giles
"Fine by me" 
Oz shrugged
Everyone looked at Cordelia.
"Do you have to have my approval on everything?" she said looking up 
from filing her nails.

"Okay, I guess I do then" Buffy looked at the collection of 
presents on the floor.
"Oh here open mine" Anya pushed a square box at the blonde girl.
"Okay" Buffy smiled a bit taking it.
"That's from both Xander, and me we picked it out together" she 
informed Buffy who smiled graciously.
She tore away the shiny green wrap to reveal a pretty painting.
A pretty painting of Buffy.
"Wow, that's really,.." Buffy was a bit awestruck.
"Who did this?"
Xander held up his hand sheepishly, and Buffy smiled walking across 
the room and hugging him.
"How did you learn to paint like this?" Buffy asked as she hugged 
Anya who replied with a weird look.
"Gotta have something to do when you're stuck in your parent's 
basement.
The room quieted for a minute, and people remembered what Dander's 
life used to be sitting in a cold bachelor style basement, ignoring 
his fighting parents overhead. But that was all past now and everyone 
jumped back to life.
"Okay, open mine next" Willow handed Buffy her present. 
"Okay" Buffy smiled and opened it.
A small silver bracelet simple but beautiful.
"It's inscribed too," Willow said shyly
Buffy turned it over and read the inside `Buffy Summers 
Christmas '02 Love always Willow"
She smiled brightly and slid it on her wrist before turning and 
hugging Willow tightly.
"I love it"

"Goodness sakes people, can we move along? I'm hungry here" Cordy 
piped up again she was now watching Buffy open her presents, and it 
was evident this was boring to her.
"How bout we just all open ours now?" Giles suggested and by the way 
the Scoobies leaned in to grab one of their gifts and distribute 
another, they didn't seem to mind. 

Faith locked the doors and walked around the house with her stake in 
hand. If Spike hadn't visited so long she would have gone to the 
party; it was eleven it had to be over by now. She pulled the 
curtains shut and climbed in bed, her stake under the pillow, turning 
off the bedside lamp and trying to get some sleep.

"Good night, thanks for coming" Anya smiled brightly seeing them 
off happily. Their party was a success.
"Good night you two" Giles smiled and patted Xander on the back as he 
left, Oz in tow again.
"Does anyone need a ride?" Cordelia put on an expensive looking 
leather coat.
"Well,?" Buffy turned to look at Willow "Can I just go home with you? 
Or you rather I go home tonight?"
"Of course you can Buffy I'd like that" Buffy smiled brightly "Cool"

"Xander?" Anya shut the door and walked back into their living room.
"Yeah honey?" Xander was filing dishes into the sink and trying to 
reclean the place.
"There's one more thing under the tree."
Xander dropped the plate he'd been holding.
"Uh,..well..yeah..An,..It's yours" Suddenly his palms were sweaty.
"You dropped that" she informed him, and he bent down to sweep it up. 
"Well, I don't think I can wait till tomorrow" Xander handed her the 
present and got down on one of his knees.
"Xander what are you doing?" Anya was opening her gift as she talked, 
and the moment she opened the little black box that held a beautiful 
ring Xander took her hand.
"Anya, will you marry me?" Although he felt like he did it all wrong 
he knew he couldn't run from his decision any longer.
"Marry you? Of course!"
And she pulled him to his feet as they kissed



Buffy broke the kiss with Willow and leaned down to kiss her neck.
"Buffy" Willow moaned tracing patterns on her back with her 
fingernails, sliding her hands up the back of her shirt.
"Shhh" Buffy went back to kissing her laying down on top of her in 
the huge bed.
"I've waited so long to be with you" Buffy traced Willow's lips as 
they slowly formed a smile.
"Me too, I've always felt this way Buff, I just didn't know how you'd 
take it or if you'd like me"
"I more then like you" Buffy laughed, feeling herself turn giddy.
"I love you" 
" I need you, and I always have" 
Willow's smile broadened.
"I need you too"
They curled up together and slept, Willow knowing she could finally 
be happy, Buffy knowing she had one last thing to do before things 
were perfect: Talk to Faith. 



"It's a good fight, Buffy, and I want in."
"I kinda love you."
