Tell me about it! I think some Spuffers had my story "Journey of a Thousand 
Miles" banned from ff.net for 'objectionable subject matter'; ie, I didn't 
bow and scrape to the shrine of Spike!

Personally, I used to like Spike. The same way I like Doctor Doom or 
Scorpius from 'Farscape'; as a multi-dimensional villain. The kind of 
villain you could empathize with occasionally, and even root for on occasion, 
but still recognize as evil. And yes, back in the day, SMG and JM had an 
incendiary on-screen chemistry. So did Bruce Willis and Cybil Sheppard, and 
"Moonlighting" never did survive their going to bed together, did it? See my 
point?

Let's face it, SMG's desire to leave television for the big screen will end 
up biting her in the ass. Did anyone actually sit through the 
industrial-grade b.s. that was 'Scooby Doo'? My prediction is that in three 
years, she'll be lucky to be the secret square on Hollywood Squares! And Aly 
will claim her first Oscar by then.

And it's good to know we're on the same Wavelength regarding Van Morrison 
("Oh God, he's doing that again!"). A classy performer and a Real, Real Gone 
singer with a voice like Tupelo Honey! Songs perfect for cuddling up with 
your Brown Eyed Girl, or dancing through the Wild Night.
