Jay,

I know, I'm a bit behind. This looks quite good so far, though. Like
the picking up on some Season 7 stuff, notably Anya's arc, which just
stopped dead after "Selfless". It's very nice to see her be feeling
guilt about the vengeance and hitting on Willow, instead of the "same
old Anya" rut they've put her back in on the show.

But the centerpiece really has to be the meditation/communion scenes. I
felt the end of "Same Time, Same Place" seemed to sterile when it aired,
but here it works much better, not as be-all in and of itself, but as a
first step towards a greater joining as B/W help each other break
through the barriers. Loving it.

Oh, and Xander's comment on Tara's death as the "elephant in the room
that nobody talks about". Word. I can not say how annoyed I am at the
non-handling of the Scoobs dealing, for the first time, with the death
of one of their own and its effect on Willow. (And I was so not a Tara
fan, too.) 

Well, that's what fanfic's for right? Character continuity and logical
plot development and all the other things that the show can't be
bothered with...and, okay, I'm clearly still too bitter about last
night's ep.
