What happened to 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'?

I'll tell you what happened to 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer'.

It moved from WB(our motto; our programs are different) to UPN(our motto; our 
programs suck!). I'm telling ya, the mandate came from the UPN execs to dumb 
down the show, and they succeeded!

This is the network that sucked the life out of Star Trek, and it's doing the 
same to Buffy. As far as I'm concerned, the last real episode of BtVS aired 
on WB in May of 2001. It was called "The Gift". Buffy Summers died saving 
the world from Glory, and whatever's occupying her body, is someone else 
entirely. Someone I don't like very much.

The only real Buffy left is in our fanfiction. What a sad state of affairs!
