OT my homage to BTVS

seven years ago, I was an awkward sophomore in high school who had
seen the horribly, yet funny and entertaining movie Buffy the
Vampire Slayer, staring Luke Perry and Kristy Swanson a few yeares
prior. Then a new show on the WB was coming out, Buffy the Vampire
Slayer and from then I was hooked. it helped that they were the
same age as me, on screen, going through similar times as I was,
with the exception of killing vampires. I also had an over
imagination and clearly felt befriended by the people on my tv
screen. I should say that I was one of those kids who was in the
loner/outcast group, and watching buffy made me feel better, like i
wasn't the freak, you know.

I felt for the characters as they went through the first season.
When season two aired, I was looking forward to the new evil they'd
have to fight, which was angelus, dru and spike. I cried when she
killed angel. I have personally fallen in love with the song, "Full
of Grace," not just for when it was played during the episode, but
for its meanings. And what kid hasn't wanted to run away when
things got bad.

Season three was definately an exciting season for me, for I was
graduating with the scooby gang. Hey I was a naive kid, cut me some
slack, but any ways...i was soooo pissed off at the way the gang was
making buffy feel when she came back from LA. But things got
better, we saw a almost full monty angel and a new slayer, Faith,
who turned bad.

Season four was a season i missed for the most part, but have caught
up in the re-runs and downlaods. I went to college and shied away
from anything relating to my old life. But my three favorite eps
from season four are hush, new moon rising and restless.

Season Five was the hardest season for me. BEfore the season finale
I had lost a good friend of mine, so watching buffy die on screen
just made it hurt ten times worse. MY two favorite episodes are the
Body and The Gift.

Season six, or as Dan calls it Season Sux, had its rollercoaster
effects with its brandish sub title..>GROWING UP AND BEING
MATURE...I think it could have been done a lot better, but I did
enjoy Once More with Feeling, Normal Again and Seeing Red, Villians,
Two to Go and Grave.

SEason SEven...the last....seven years later we say goodbye to our
friends...we've laughed, cried, cheered(for good or the bad or both)
and so on. Here is to hoping this one goes out with a bang.

VIVA BUFFY
