OT: Fic recommendation

Once in a while, you can stumble onto gold where you least expect it.

I was over at Fanfiction.net, hoping to find something not Buffy/Spike 
related, and found one that blew me away. "Into the Desert" by Lizbeth Marcs 
involves the later years of Buffy's life in an alternate post-season-seven 
story. She, Giles and Spike are the sole surviving members of the Scoobie 
Gang, and have moved to London to rebuild the Watchers Council. Yes, the 
description makes it sound like a Spuffy fic, but it's not. In fact, Buffy's 
attitude regarding Spike in this story is refreshingly healthy. It's not 
really a shipper fic at all. Above all else, this story is a perfect view of 
the central relationship of the series; Buffy, Willow and Xander.
