"Who the hell are you", Willow asked standing between Dawn and the 
man in the robe.

"Good to see that you are protecting her already. Who I am doesn't 
matter as much as what I have to say", He said.

"The fuck it doesn't", Willow said stepping toward the robed man. He 
raised his hand and Willow found herself flying back onto her butt.

The robed figure raised his hands, "Stop all of you. I'm not here to 
hurt anyone. I just want you to listen to what I have to say and then 
I am gone."

"Talk. Now. Fast and if you hurt anyone like you just did again I 
will hurt you", Buffy growled going over to help Willow up. Willow 
looked at the outstretched hand shaking her head and got up on her 
own.

"Like the young witch said the key is not all that it appears. The 
monks knew that the slayer would not be strong enough to fight this 
on her own, they knew that the one to guarantee the protection of 
the `key' was for there to be someone else emotionally attached to 
her", the robed figure said looking to Willow.

Faith looked from Willow to Dawn, "They combined them both."

"Very good, Slayer. The girl is both of you and the only why to save 
her is for all of you to work together."

"What?? We're like her mothers", Willow asked pointing toward Buffy.

"Yes, smart group you have here. You just might succeed. Think of 
Joyce as a surrogate mother for the two of you."

Willow looked at him suspiciously, "But how did they know that I 
would come here".

"The boy."

"You hurt Xander", Buffy growled.

"You son of a bitch", Willow yelled and jumped for the man again, 
only to be tossed back against the wall.

"Damn it women are you brain dead", he asked, "The boy will be fine. 
Once I have left you should be getting a call from the demon he dates 
to tell you he is awake. He will be tired but will survive. We knew 
the only way to get you here was to use him."

"How do we know you are telling the truth? Why should we believe 
you", Buffy asked stepping closer.

The man sighed and walked toward the red head still sitting on the 
floor. He placed one hand on her head. Willow moaned and grabbed her 
head. Willow caught Faith leaping to protect her but raised her 
hand, "No Faith, he didn't hurt me, just shook me a little. He's 
telling the truth", Willow said and stood using the wall to balance 
herself, "How do we kill her."

"Are you familiar with the Dudan ritual?"

"You have to be kidding me", Willow said shaking her head.

"No, it's the only way", he said nodding his head.

"You have to be pretty powerful to pull that one off", Giles said 
taking his glasses off.

"Yes but it is the only way."

"If I fail", Willow asked.

"Then it falls to the slayer to protect the `key'."

"Willow you can't be considering this are you", the ex-watcher asked 
in disbelief.

"Do I have a choice"?

"Do you know what happens to you if you fail", Giles said coming over 
to stand in front of her.

"Yes", Willow whispered.

"Well for the rest of us dumb folk, fill us in", Buffy asked her 
watcher.

"No", Willow growled looking at Giles, pleading with him to keep 
quiet.

"Red, now is not the time for secrets", Faith warned.

"Leave it alone, Faith", Willow issuing her own warning.

"Tara, how bout you, you know what the hell he's talking about", 
Buffy asked her friend.

"N-no."

"Can you find out", Buffy asked, glaring at the red head and her 
watcher.

"Y-yes."

"Good, now is there any more good news you'd like to share with us 
or put any more of my friends in a coma", Buffy asked the man in the 
robe only to find him disappear before her, "Guess not."


"Well that was just a barrel of fun. So B, is it always this much fun 
in this town", Faith asked her fellow slayer.

"We aim to please. So are either of you going to fill us in on this 
Gun dam thing or does Tara have to spend the rest of the day 
researching it."

"Knock yourselves out", Willow said walking over to the young girl 
who was standing in the corner, "Hey kid, how about we head out of 
here and find someplace to talk and then check out how Xander's 
doing."

"Yeah", Dawn said shaking and then took the outstretched hand Willow 
was offering.

"You ever rode on a motorcycle."

"No, are kidding. Bye guys", Dawn said happily and followed the witch 
out.

Buffy started to open her mouth but felt Tara hand on her 
shoulder, "Let them go, Buffy. You've known for a while that she was 
a part of you; give them some time to get to know each other. Willow 
will protect her. They need to find the part's of each other."

Buffy sighed, "I know it just so hard. I mean what now? If we survive 
do we get her every other weekend or what if Dawn wants to live with 
her"?

"One day at a time, Buffy. Lets just make sure there is another day 
to see", Faith said putting her hand on the other slayer's shoulder.

"Ok, lets go see if robe guy was right and see if Xander's awake yet."
