Fic: Change Over Mochas (1/?)

Disclaimer: I own none of the characters in this fanfic, they all
belong to Joss Whedon, creator of BtVS

Rating: Eventually R or NC-17

Pairing: B/W of course

Feedback: Yes please!

Summary: It's their senior year of high school, and Buffy and
Willow, finally get with the program. It's a little screwed up
timeline wise because although it's senior year, Tara and Dawn
are in it, along with the Magic Box being the place of choice for
the Scooby Gang instead of the ever so common library, there is no
Cordelia either. Tara and Dawn are together, don't ask why
because I can't tell you, it's just what my brain did when I
let it get away from me, there isn't much focus on them though.

I apologize for the very, very, short first chapter; it's
mostly a rewrite of a scene in season 3. I will try to get the other
4 chapters I have written up soon.

Change Over Mochas

<Why was she avoiding me today? Does she hate me and not want me
to know? Oh God!! She hates me and doesn't want me to know!!>

Buffy was snapped out of her thoughts by what she recognized as the
voice of her best friend.
"Hey, deep thoughts?"
"Deep and meaningful."
Willow moved closer to Buffy and sat next to her in the shade of the
tree where Buffy was sitting. Buffy felt the heat from willow's
hand on her thigh.
"As in?"
"As in I'm never getting out of here, I kept thinking that if
I stopped the mayor, or? but I was just kidding myself. I mean
there's always going to be something. I'm a Sunnydale girl,
no other
choice."
"Must be tough, I mean, here I am, and I can go to any college in
the country, 4 or 5 in Europe if I want."
"Please tell me you're going somewhere with this." Buffy
replied with an unexpected sadness evident in her voice.
"Nope, I'm not going anywhere." Willow said, producing an
envelope from overalls pocket, which she then handed to Buffy.
"U.C. Sunnydale?" Buffy asked, slight confusion in her voice.
"I will be matriculating with the class of 2003." Willow
replied with the widest of smiles plastered across her face.
"Are you serious?"
"Say, isn't that where you're going?" Willow replied
to the question with a question, not to mention the sly grin on her
face. Buffy squealed and grabbed Willow up in a huge hug, causing
both girls to tumble further to the ground than they already had
been. They rolled on the ground for a few moments. Buffy reluctantly
released her best friend and looked her directly in the eyes.
"I can't believe this, are you serious? Agh, wait, what am I
saying? You can't." Buffy said, her tone becoming much less
ecstatic
than it had been just a few moments earlier.
"What do you mean I can't?" Willow asked, sounding
slightly hurt.
Buffy looked into her friend's eyes. "I won't let
you."
Willow slightly sighed, "Of the two of us here, which is the boss
of me?"
"There are better schools."
"Sunnydale's not bad. I can design my own curriculum."
"Well, there are safer schools, there are safer prisons. I
can't let you stay because of me."
"Actually, this isn't about you, the other night, being
captured by Faith and all, it just kind of clicked. It's a good
fight Buffy,and I want in."
"I kind of love you." Buffy told Willow, causing her to blush
and hide behind her hair. Willow changed the subject, "Besides, I
have a chance at being a bad-ass Wicca and what better place to
learn?"
"I feel the need for more sugar than the human body can
handle."
"Mochas?!" Willow asked excitedly.
"Yes, Please!"
The girls stood and started toward the Espresso Pump.
"It's weird," Buffy spoke up as they walked, "You
look at something and you think you know exactly what you're
seeing, and then you find out it's something else entirely."
Willow looked at her friend. "Neat, huh?"
"Sometimes it is." Buffy replied as they continued on their
way to the Espresso Pump.
