Faith walked into the magic shop and smiled seeing the blonde witch 
she had been hoping would be there. After exchanging pleasantries 
with Giles she headed over to the table and sat down on the bench 
beside her.

"So Blondie, did you find anything useful for B", Faith asked moving 
closer to look at the book the blonde witch was looking at.

"N-no", Tara said trying to move away from the dark slayer.

"So what's your deal", Faith asked sliding closer.

"M-my d-deal?"

"Well unless it's time for my 3 year 3000 mile tune for the old 
gaydar, your gay", Faith smirked seeing the blush creep up the 
blonde's face.

"Yeah, s-so?"

Faith rested her chin on the Tara shoulder and whispered in her 
ear, "Do you stutter all the time or is just me?"

Tara couldn't help the shudder that went through her at the feeling 
of the slayer's breath on her neck, "N-no, n-not just you, w-when I'm 
n-nervous."

"I make you nervous", Faith whispered, putting her hand on the 
witch's knee.

"Y-y-yes."

"Why", Faith asked and began to draw circles with her finger on Tara 
knee.

"B-because, p-please stop."

"Why", Faith smirked but drew her hand away.

Tara looked into the brown slayers eyes, "Willow."

"Red only wants me twenty percent of the time, which leaves me eighty 
percent of my life to my own devices", Faith started but the sound of 
the bell ringing above the door interrupted anything she might have 
said. She turned to see the older slayer come through the door. She 
pulled away from the witch and stood up, "Nice to see you could join 
us, B"

"I had to pick Dawn up from school and drop her at your place. Faith, 
I'm going to tell you this Slayer to slayer, if she hurts my sister 
I'll kill her", Buffy said coming to stand in front of Faith.

Faith slammed Buffy against the wall, "You will never lay a hand on 
her that she doesn't want you too, do you understand that. Do you 
have any idea in that little mind of yours how hard this is for her? 
Do you even care? She wrapped up all the anger and disappointment she 
felt for everyone here, put it in a box and buried deep inside 
herself. She had to, so that she could move on with her life, and 
that's what she did. Then one day she gets a call, the only person 
from that box of shit that she gave a damn about was in trouble, 
needed her. So she pulled out that box, dusted it off and let all 
that anger and disappointment out. Then she's faced with having to 
tell everyone about what those sick bastards did to her. The rape, 
the beatings, being tied to a bed for days sometimes, the humiliation 
of not even being let up to even use the restroom. God damn it, 
Slayer, there were times she would talk about wanting to just die to 
get away from the pain and hurt. I want you to picture something in 
your mind for a second, think about the sweet innocent red head that 
you knew when she was here. Now think about seeing that same girl 
sitting in a corner rocking and shaking from all the meds she was on, 
in a room full of strangers one of which was running around yelling 
about being god. That's the girl I met. She is a highly respected 
watcher now, even considering she is a high school drop out. It takes 
years of training to become what she learned in months. I will not 
tolerate your disrespect toward her. I don't care if you are the 
oldest living slayer or not. I have never seen her open up and get as 
close to someone as she has your daughter, her daughter. She won't 
hurt her but you need to give her some time to adjust. I would think 
that the fact she is going to risk her life is enough proof she won't 
hurt her." Faith released the slayer and sat down at the table.

"I'm sorry, you're right. I'm just scared and I need to protect her."

"I know but so does Red. Now are we going to train or sit here and 
chitchat all day? I'm feeling the need to hit something."

"Me too, lets do it. You wanna patrol with me tonight. Maybe Dawn 
could stay with Will?"

"Thought you never ask and I'm sure Red would love to have the kid 
stay longer. I'll call after we train."
