keep sufficient force in action to win the war, no. But as I see it, they
don't have these kinds of resources. Armageddon is often averted by a narrow
margine... having the SIT's and the resources of the training
ground/research center available at the Hellmouth might make the difference
between end of the world, and keeping it going.
And don't forget that the SIT's themselves are targets, too. It's not as if
they're save, just because they're outside of Sunnydale. There'll be enough
things coming after them.
Therefore I would try to maximize my protection, and not spread my forces
thin. If the Hellmouth opens, it's irrelevant if the SIT's are still alive.
Any price is worth keeping the Hellmouth closed. Including the sacrifice of
the potential Slayers.
And I think the end of the council has sufficiently demonstrated that no
place on Earth is save.>

<Not really... After so many years, I doubt I'd have much of a connection to
my family anyway. And that's without the added knowledge of the demon world.
It makes you see things differently, and you'll have a hard time fitting in
with people who don't know about it. And knowing that I'm a Slayer to be...
having faced down death in combat... it changes people a lot.
No, I think I'd just be uncomfortable around them, and try to get back to my
comrades ASAP. Even if not join active combat, at least be around people I
don't have to hide the truth from. Where I can mourn the loss of my Watcher
(she seems to have a good relationship with him, comparable to
Giles-Buffy... the loss did hit her hard... and I doubt her parents would
understand why she mourns him).>
