Ok. This is my first ever fic so please go easy on me. Oh, and if
anyone could help me think of a title that would be great. To tell
you the truth I really don't know where i'm going with thid yet. I
have all these ideas in my head but don't really know how to
incorporate it into the story. I'll proabaly have to write a couple
of stories to use all of my ideas. Well, here goes nothing. please
tell me what you think and whether or not you think it's even worth
it to try and write more to this story.

Rating: R for language and violence i guess
Pairing: Willow and Buff of course
Summary: I don't even know it yet

I have to get a new life. It's 3 a.m. and I'm walking through a cemetery.

A chill wind blew off the Pacific Ocean. Buffy Summers zipped her gray sweatshirt up to her throat and shivered, just a little.

All right, it is December, but still, southern California is usually not so brisk in December.

She was tempted to just chalk it up a night and go to her dorm and actually get some sleep for once but she knew she couldn't because if someone were to get
attacked while she was catching z's, she knew she would be living in guilt.

As Buffy walked around the headstones, she stuffed her hands into the pockets of her jeans and grumbled to herself. Her gaze darted around the cemetery and into the surrounding trees bordering
the mausoleums. Patrol had been a complete bust thus far, and it
was growing late. Three a.m. had come and gone and she should have
returned to the dorm room she shared with Willow already. Buffy was
starting to get irritated that she couldn't be in her bed right now
sleeping like any other normal girl.

Granted I would probably still be up right now doing homework still, but hey, that would be a thing normal people who aren't Willow would be doing right now. Yeah! I wonder if Willow is still up? Nah, she's probably asleep. She's so
cute when she's sleeping, not that she's not when she's awake cause she is. Great, I think I picked up Willow's babbling.

Just as she was about to turn around and head on to the next cemetery her spidey sense started going off. She turned around to try to see where the vampires were and how many there were when a
vampire jumped down from a tree limb knocking her to the ground and Mr. Pointy out of her hand. She jumped back up quick to start pummeling the vampire for catching her by surprise and to just get out some pent up frustration but it seemed he disappeared.

"Come on out. I'm tired and I want to dust you quick so I can get home. Ah come on. You can't be afraid of little old me, can you?" Buffy asked innocently to the hiding vamp. The vampire in
question stepped out from behind a tombstone holding a stake and started walking towards her.

Stake? Hold up, that's my stake! She thought. He was wearing an expensive tailored black suit with a yellow striped tie that seemed to match the color of his eyes. He seemed to be the one in charge and stood in a stance that clearly stated so.

Yellow Tie held up her stake mocking her. "Missing something slayer? It seems you dropped something." Just as She was about to lunge at the vampire nine more vampires came out of their
respective hiding spots. As Buffy looked around for anything that she could use as a weapon, five of the vampires started to surround her forming a rough semi circle.

Great! The only piece of wood I can see around here and overbite is holding it. Can my night or should I say morning get any better? Buffy thought to herself.

She stared at them, letting the moment of silence charge the air between
them with crackling energy. Then she smiled.

"Let's get it on." She immediately assumed a fighting stance preparing herself for the attack to come. Buffy using her peripheral vision starts to size up the vampires standing to her
sides. The five vampires glared at Buffy. As they did, their eyes flared to a murky yellow as their fangs began to protrude from their mouths. The vampire to her left who was a female was dressed from head to toe in form fitting leather and high heel boots giving her a dominatrix look that reminded Buffy of Willow's vampire twin.

Buffy took a step forward slowly pivoting on her left foot. In a matter of seconds she performed a spinning heal kick to the side of the vampire's head which resulted in a loud crack as the vamp went crumbling to the ground. As Buffy turned back around from her kick
she spun and delivered a strong backhand to the vampire that was standing to her right. He had shoulder length brown hair pulled into a ponytail and was powerfully built giving him the appearance of a professional wrestler. The blow, although powerful, hardly
stunned the wrestler so she tried to deliver a front kick to his midsection which he easily caught in his hands.

"Shit," she muttered under her breath, the five other vampires standing off to
the side almost completely forgotten in the heat of the battle. She tried to jump and kick him in the face with her other foot but as soon as her foot left the ground he yanked the foot that was in his grasp up sending her head careening to the ground. Seeing nothing but black for two seconds, she managed to climb back up to her feet.

Buffy fought the five vampires for what seemed like hours before she finally managed to dust 3 of the vampires with a fallen branch from a tree. Wrestler vamp, who unfortunately was not one of
the three dusted, sent a wild kick that connected with Buffy's side. From the force of the impact Buffy felt three of her ribs give way and heard something tear inside. She mentally did a check
of her own injuries and knew she had at least three broken ribs, a number of deep gashes and bruises, and was suffering from internal bleeding. Slayer or not, Buffy was growing tired. Without grace or elegance, she charged wrestler vamp tackling him to the ground. A short jab, a hard elbow, and a thrust of a tree branch and wrestler was now dust. Looking around she spotted the female leather wearing vamp running at her preparing to land a devastating blow. Buffy easily sidestepped the rush then spun ramming the branch into the vampires back until it pierced her heart. With that Buffy fell to her knees wincing in pain as her ribs and other injuries screamed out.

Remembering the other five vampires, Buffy looked up and met the eyes of yellow tie. Gazes locked together, their contact was intimate with the knowledge that Buffy could not win. Buffy looked around at her surroundings trying to find the best route of escape. Yellow tie realizing her intentions threw Buffy's own stake at her. As she was running, the stake pierced her from behind and protruded from her stomach. The sheer force of the stake and
the now searing pain in her stomach caused her to stumble and crash to the ground. Seeing the fall of the slayer, Yellow Tie sent the other four vampires after her. Buffy quickly tried to get back to her feet and started running with all the energy she had left. She
managed to reach the street. Since the four vampires only watched from the side they were full of energy and caught up with Buffy in a matter of seconds. Buffy knowing that she didn't have the energy to fight even one of the vampire's, stopped and stood facing them trying her best not to pass out from physical exertion and blood loss.

Already one of her eyes was swollen shut from the numerous punches and kicks she managed to block with her face. Putting on the best intimidating face she can muster she lunged at the vampire standing closest to her and landed a punch to his face which she quickly followed up with a ridge hand to his throat. Just as she was about to kick him, she fel herself being lifted and thrown into a nearby fire hydrant. Gasping from the jolt of pain she felt in her back she fell to her knees. The four vampires stood there smiling at her knowing that she was through. Returning the smile, Buffy pointed at the horizon behind them.

"Planning on working on your tan?" she
asked knowing that she had just been saved by the coming day. She thought to herself how she always had to make a pun no matter how much pain she is in.

After seeing the remaining vamps scatter to avoid the all too quick sunrise, Buffy tiredly lifted herself up.

I just need to make it back to the dorm and Willow will take care of me.

Standing on two unsteady legs, Buffy slowly started the five minute walk back to the dorms. She tried to remove the stake from her stomach but found it too painful with what little strength she had left. She was glad it was still too early for people to be out and about because she was sure she looked like she just got hit by a runaway train. She sure felt that way. She could hardly put pressure on her left leg for she was sure she fractured a bone somewhere in there.

The walk back to the dorms was slow and agonizing. Just as she was about to climb the 6 steps that would take her to the entrance of Stevenson Hall, Buffy started to lose her fight to the darkness she was trying so hard to fight. She could feel her life
ebbing away as heart started to slow. Groggy, unable to find the energy to cry out now, she felt unconsciousness cradling her, carrying her down into the dark. Somewhere, she heard her name
being called.

Then nothing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Back in the dorm room Willow woke up to an angry alarm clock blaring Three Doors Down. Slowly sitting up and rubbing her eyes, she groggily looked at the clock to see what time it is. 6:45 a.m.
I can't believe Buffy didn't wake me up to let me know she got in ok.
Ever since becoming room mates it had become a ritual that Buffy would wake her up if even if she was sleeping to let her know she made it through yet another night of patrolling on the Hellmouth. Turning on the bedside lamp Willow looked over at Buffy's bed and saw that it was empty. Immediately starting to panic Willow jumped out of
the bed to look for any traces that might have shown that Buffy did indeed come in sometime during the night. Seeing none, she felt the dread building up in the pit of her stomach.
No, she's ok. She's probably just taking a shower to beat the morning rush of students filing into the shower room.
With that thought Willow rushed over to Buffy's closet hoping to find Buffy's robe and shower items missing but instead saw them hanging from the hook on the inside of the door.
Willow was quickly becoming frightened for her dearest friend. In the four years they had been friends, Buffy had quickly become the most important person in Willow's life. Buffy was the anchor that kept her grounded, the security blanket that made her feel safe, and most importantly, her lifeline. She would never admit this out loud, but, she had hopelessly fallen in love with the blonde slayer.
Fumbling with the phone, Willow quickly dialed Giles phone number hoping that Buffy had just decided to crash there in the spare bedroom.
God, I hope she's alright. I don't know what I'd do without her. Get a grip Rosenburg. She's ok. Of Course she's ok. Buffy's the longest living slayer in history for a reason.
<Ring, ring, ring>
Rolling over to answer the phone, Giles wondered who on earth would be calling so early in the morning.
Realizing that only one of the scoobies would be calling at this God awful time in the morning, Giles quickly woke up.
"Hello?"
"Giles, it's me, Willow. Did Buffy stay the night there?"
"No, she didn't. What time is it?"
"It's almost seven. Giles, I'm really worried. She never came back after patrol. I think we should go look for her."
"I agree. I'll be there in 10 minutes. Give Xander a call and tell him I'll be by to pick him up on the way."
"Ok, Giles? Hurry."
"I will"
Almost tripping over her feet, Willow hurriedly put on a pair of jeans and a white blouse. After putting her hair up into a quick ponytail, she threw on a pair of socks and white tennis shoes. Going over to the phone she called Xander to fill him in on the situation and to tell him that Giles is on his way to pick him up. After grabbing her keys, she ran out the door to wait for Giles outside. Just as she is coming out of the main doors to the dorm, she caight a glimpse of blond hair lying in a pool of blood.
"BUFFY!!!!!"
To be continued..?? Should I continue??
