Chapter 3

Buffy's POV

I can't believe it! Kennedy left Willow. I didn't even notice they 
were having any problems. I have been keeping a close eye on them 
too. I have been looking for signs of any disturbances, and I really 
didn't see it coming. I am so incredibly happy. I know I should be 
worried that my best friend is heartbroken and in need of some post 
breakup looking after, but I see this as my chance to tell her how I 
feel. I have been waiting for some time.

Willow moved in with Xander. I didn't really see that one coming 
either. I thought for sure she would come up to Dawn's and my 
apartment. I don't know why she is ignoring me, but that is 
definitely what it seems like. She hasn't even confided in me about 
the break up yet. What caused it and why it happened. I wonder if I 
should wait a little while before I say anything to her. I really 
want to take my chances and tell her how I feel. I think I should 
wait and see if she even wants to talk to me. 

I seem to be getting the cold Shoulder from her at the moment. She 
comes down to help out in the Gym but she really isn't speaking to 
me personally. What did I do? Has she somehow figured out I that 
I'm in love with her? Well if she has it's not a good sign, she has 
never been so distant with in the whole time I have known her. God 
I hope I haven't stuffed up my chances with her.

Willow's POV

I don't really know what to do. Kennedy left me. We had a fight 
like the few we've had lately, but this time she broke up with me. 
Told me straight out to go and be with the one I truly love. I 
didn't know whether to kiss her or cry. I did care for her. She 
has been there for me through so much. She is very cute and helped 
keep me anchored through the whole First Evil deal. But I never 
loved her. Though I will miss that pierced tongue of hers?. My God, 
I can't even stop the babble from starting inside my own head.

I'm going to figure out a way to tell Buffy that I'm in love with 
her. Everyday it's the same routine. Slayers coming in to the Gym 
to train, we are getting so many come through. Daryl is forever by 
Buffy's side. It's getting on my nerves. With all the new girls 
that Buffy and Kennedy train with and Dawn and Xander running the 
Café, I don't have much time to make my move. I already set up the 
computer system that keeps track of the growing number of Slayers, 
their ages and abilities. Some are better than others at certain 
elements and it makes it easier to assign what missions we send them 
out on. Mostly the girls just patrol the cemeteries then hit the 
local night clubs and have a good time. The evil lately has been 
quiet but you get the occasional vamps wanting to party. 

I think I will ask Buffy if I can go patrolling with her tonight. I 
think I'm in need of a good boogey afterwards at the Karaoke bar we 
often frequent as a group. I have something I think I want to let 
her know, and I have an idea at just how I'll tell her. For now I 
have to get back to watching Daryl ogle over Buffy, Gah! What does 
she see in him? Though I don't think things are too serious, she 
seems to keep looking over at me with those adorable green eyes 
asking for my help somehow. She's so cute.
