Chapter 5

Willow's POV

Last thing I remember was getting pulled into Buffy's lap and she 
kissed me like I've never been kissed before. I mean my God! Talk 
about electricity. That's when it struck me. The lights are still 
out. Suddenly a big flash brightens up the room. From the entrance 
of the club, I look through the doors to see rain and lightning 
strike. It's storming. So that's the reason for the power going 
out. Thank goodness for natural disasters. No Demon's ready to 
pounce out at us. Well at least I hope not. 

Oh, It's then I realize that I'm still sitting in her lap. I can 
only see her for brief moments when the lightning brightens up the 
room, but all I can see is her beautiful amazing eyes staring back 
at me. She is holding onto me pretty securely, I think she is trying 
to protect me from the big bad storm. Isn't she wonderful. She 
pulls me in close to her once more and asks me if I am doing ok. 
Buffy knows that I can handle myself. There is just something about 
the way she is holding me and the soft way she is speaking to me.  
She cares for me? I mean, in a more than friendly way?  

I don't want to get too cozy in my position in case I'm way off 
track here. So I move in close to her and wrap her up in a huge 
hug. I take comfort in her nice strong arms. They feel wonderful 
wrapped around my waist. Holding me not too loosly but also not too 
tight, she has a nice grip. Geeze Willow, you are in Buffy's arms, 
she just kissed you, and you are talking about her grip. Way to 
handle a situation. I was getting lost in my own mind babble when 
Buffy whispered something in my ear. OMG! OMG! OMG! Did I just hear 
her right?

Buffy's POV

Well Willow didn't freak and jump off my lap when I kissed her, so I 
took that as a good sign. She actually seemed to get cozier when we 
broke apart. I didn't ever want to stop kissing her, but that was 
pretty spur of the moment thing for me. I needed a moment to see how 
she would react. She was comfy, I was way comfy, so I did the next 
thing that popped into my head, which I didn't give much thought to, 
I whispered I love you Willow, into her ear.  

You know that feeling when you really badly want to tell someone 
something, and they are right there, and the words just won't come 
out? I've been like that for days, not being able to find the right 
words to tell Willow how much I care about her, but with the power 
out and after my hormones took over and kissed her just like that, I 
thought I would just say how I really felt, in it's simplest form.  
I know Willow is a smart girl, I have told her so many times how I 
have felt, that I loved her, but she's just always assumed I meant 
friendship love. I think the kiss pretty much spells out the 
meaning this time.

Oh great! I spoke too soon. The kiss didn't send her screaming for 
the hills, but the I love you did. She's hopped off my lap and has 
gone bolting through the front doors. It's storming and dark 
outside. Willow come back. I didn't mean to scare you like that.  
Argh! Ok, I'm going to go out there, find her and make things right 
again.
