Here is a link an extensive interview with Mr. Whedon wherein he discusses the virtures of public vs. private schools, growing up in a TV-made household, how the show came about, how Willow became the token gay character (Oops! Did I write that? Darn you Dr. Freud!), why Season Sux sucked and why it made perfect sense once you saw season seven. And why season seven was a complete mess.

Interesting, he claims it was the plans all along to reserrect Tara, 'cause she's Willow's True Love and all, but mean 'ol Amber wouldn't come back.
