RE: off list rec for Crys Loch's Games series
just a quick B/W recommendation that I'm not sure I've seen anyone here mention
lately:
Crys Loch's "Games" series.
very very hot, getting more so. Also very solidly written characterization of B/W's
trust and devotion to each other as they set out to explore their kinkier side.
Some of you may have read this in the past but Crys has been updating it the last
month or so, for the first time in a long time.
NOTE: Deals somewhat peripherally with S/M (nothing too heavy, no violence) but
perhaps not for everyone
II've seen it in various places but link below is on nearheralways (which you all should
visit anyway, if you haven't checked out the new redesign)

I've seen that story myself, and enjoyed it so far immensely. I like the fact that, for all the sensualilty and mild kink, the characterization is still spot-on, and as Buffy and Willow explore their sexuality, they a) don't just jump into bed together(at least yet), and b) respect each other's boundaries as well as the boundaries of their friends.
Oh, one more warning I should give. One chapter has a Buffy/Spike scene, with Willow watching. Even in that scene, the main focus is on Buffy and Willow's interaction. I also enjoyed a sub-plot involving Buffy's difficulty in having The Talk with Dawn.
And from the author's notes in the latest chapter, the story is about to end. Something tells me that the ending is gonna be explosive. Kudos to Crys Loch!

"Friends are the DNA of society. They are the basic building blocks of life. If you have a couple of good ones, treasure them like gold. There's nothing better. Ever look at that MCI ad they have, "Friends and Family"? Who do they mention first? Your friends help you carry the big weight in life. That big burden we've all got called, 'What the Hell am I doing?'"
