RE: Life is Short (revamped) Part 6a/7
Glad you are liking the rewrite.
I'm trying to find a medium between the deny- obfuscate-avoid Buffy of
canon, and my desire to make her open up be a little honest about things
without going completely out of character. She definitely fears her
mom's disappointment, because she's all she has left. Dad's out of the
picture, and there's no Dawn.
I didn't exactly get your Normal Again retcon reference, could you
explain?
Glad to hear from you again, it's been a while since I've seen a classic

Ooh, good follow-thru on the bathroom incident. I mean it was fun, but
there's a reason Buffy can't just smack Cordelia around. And she's
quite logically a prisoner of Joyce's fears. (She can't even confess
about the Slayer thing-Giles has no cred with Joyce, they don't even
know that Angel's a vampire so they can't have him demonstrate for her,
and Buffy would probably get locked up [btw, thanks for not using the
"Normal Again" retcon, which I continue to believe is just detritus from
the Dawn-spell])
Okay, less talking, more reading 6b. But thanks.
