Snippet: Slayer Jedi

Has anyone else noticed that this little kilted
Moogle only seems to come up with Snippets lately...? 

Anyhoo...

A Slayer in Dimensions (Tentatively Titled)

Falling from this height was hazardous, but then
again, she knew she wasn't meant to survive. The
highly unstable tower the Hellgod had ordered
constructed swayed minutely beneath her feet as she
looked at her younger sister one last time. The blonde
Slayer turned, and without a word, sprinted to the
edge and leapt. 
As Buffy Summers plummeted into the depths of the
Interdimensional tear, she wondered why she felt no
pain. A small sliver of fear crept into her mind, "Am
I already dead?" The bright swirling lights fascinated
the Slayer; such beauty would herald the end of the
World. 
A split second before oblivion, she spied a
nebulous green energy spread through the rip in the
Fabric of Time and Space. The Green enveloped the
slayer, stilling her fall and turning the world to
Black.

Before her sight returned, she became aware of a
falling sensation and part of her mind smiled; how
long is this drop? Light penetrated the darkness of
her mind and her mind reeled in shock. It was day, as
opposed to night, and she was VERY high up, over a
city that seemed to stretch for as far as her enhanced
sight could see. Downward she fell, her mind numb from
repeated surprises, the latest of which was the
incredibly futuristic space ship like vehicle that
passed her by. The pilot of which watched slack jawed
as she plummeted past. Turning her head ground ward,
the wind whipped her hair back and her eyes watered
from the airstreams. Closer and closer one building in
particular grew larger, a round domelike structure
surrounded by four obelisks. Her enhanced Slayer
senses brought with it a talent in Trigonometry that
allowed her to pinpoint the exact location she would
be liquefied on. Her death imminent, Buffy closed her
eyes and took her last few moments to bask in the feel
of the wind.

Seated in the Jedi Council chamber, Jedi Knight
Cor'Tia sat with her arms crossed. The Twi'lek was
most vexxed by the Council's decision. Sending a
single Jedi and her apprentice to Yavin II was a
foolish Idea. ?The Vedishi Plague Cult requires more
than one Jedi, even if it is Elima Castore.? The jade
skinned knight seethed mentally.
Cor'Tia was about to voice her extremely reluctant
approval of the Council's plan, when Master Yoda
snapped his eyes to the ceiling and cast his hand up
mere seconds before a short blonde human crashed
through to land in a bleeding heap. Had the venerable
Master not used his powers, the human would not have
survived the impact in a single piece let alone alive.
Instantly, the Jedi knights in attendance leapt to
their feet and ignited their lightsabers; streams of
vibrant green, blue, orange and purple blades sprang
into being. 
Master Kyrrcadda leapt to his feet and knelt before
the critically wounded woman. The Wookie Jedi pressed
his paw like hand to her throat to check for a pulse
and chuffed out for medical help. The remaining Jedi
Masters huddled over the broken human in concern and
confusion. Master Yoda looked into Cor'Tia's eyes and
nodded. ?Most unexpected this is. Powerful in the
Force, she is.? He spoke gently, reaching each Knight
as though he spoke to them directly. <Speak in private
we must.> His eyes locked on Cor?Tia?s as his words
echoed in her mind.
Receiving mindspeech from a Master like Yoda was
quite an honor to the young Knight, and she bowed
discreetly as the medical droids arrived to place the
young intruder in stasis. 
Attuning her mind's eye, the Twi'lek reached out
with her senses as the young girl was placed into a
stasis tray and ushered out of the Council room with
the utmost haste. The intruder?s mind radiated such a
feeling of fearful resignation that it flooded her
mind and she could not help but shudder.
