If I remember correctly, Angel's speech was quoted verbatim in a story called "Passion", a rewrite of the original episode with a B/W twist. Don't recall who wrote it, but it's available at the Pink Rabbit site. In the story, Angelus killed Willow's parents instead of her goldfish. Pretty angsty.
