Rod the God,

The C/W romantic challenge leaves the "how" undefined, as most
challenges do. It also predates the Yellow Crayon, so that isn't
mentioned. I do think that there's a strong foundation for just a
general C/W friendship, had things gone differently in early childhood,
though, which would make things more interesting when Buffy comes to
town.

Keep weaning your friend off the W/S :)
