Oh, Bob, I'm liking this very much.

Not just for Buffy being passionately and dangerously crazed about
Willow, but for your treatment of the show's mythology. You've created
an OC and made him a mostly-good demon, yet you haven't violated the
basic concept of Why Slayers Slay (ie: the Soulless are Evil) and
instead you've given Shadow a credible reason for his decency that ties
into the origin revision of "Get it Done" and even makes that somewhat
more palatable. 

Better still, your villain is a classic-style (S1-3) Demon, one with a
name and a history of evil (see Moloch, Machida, Eyghon, The Judge, Die
Kindestod, Acathla, Lurconis, and Lagos), not some interchangeable
Blahblah Demon that's treated like a breed of animal. (Or worse, a
good-ol'-boy demon like Clem [Die, Clem!])

And besides, anyone who remembers that there are *two* demon bars in
Sunnydale gets bonus points in my book. Keep it up!
