Nearly went against the grain on this one, too.  Much as I want Buff and
Will together forever, I think Buffy's too messed up at this point to be
very good for Willow.  

I was quite intrigued with the idea of Willow/Fred.   I think Will
really needs someone who won't judge her, who makes her feel good, who
doesn't look at her and see a murderer.  That pure and simple crush Fred
was showing off in "Orpheus" looks quite appealing.

But...I think it would hurt Buffy too much to see Willow involved with
someone else.  Tara was something new in Willow's life, and
Kennedymuch as I kind of like herhas "fling" written all over her
tongue stud.  But if Will was to fall in love with another girl at this
point, I think Buffy would go into any future pairing feeling that
Willow didn't really love her, that she'd dated around and was now
"settling" with good old Buffy out of pity or laziness or something.

So forget my worries about Buffy and Willow being in bad places and not
able to help each other.  Seven years is long enough, let's put the two
halves of the perfect couple together and let them fix all the rough
spots. :)
