Thanks Dan,

You're comments are appreciated as always but I think you're giving 
the sixteen year old Xander too much credit.  I really don't think 
his motivation or lack of motivation towards Willow had anything to 
do with his fear of hurting those he loved from himself.  While 
those developed after High School, I really believe that he just 
took Willow for granted, in a familiarity breads contempt but in 
this case apathy in regards to sexual attraction.  

This is the way I see early Xander.  Especially when Willow became 
interesting to him AFTER she gets a boyfriend.  Maybe apathy is too 
strong but this is from an empty feeling Willow's point of view.

Glad you like the story.  Just give your X/W side some ice cream.
