I have that same problem(YES, I'm working on The Centre Cannot Hold Vol. 3). And funny, I had an idea for a sixth-season challenge too;
Simply, rewrite Season Six(preferably with a B/W slant), with the following stipulation; "Once More With Feeling" didn't happen. The musical spell didn't happen, Willow wasn't compelled to tell Tara about how she was abusing magic, Buffy didn't reveal to the others that she blames them for yanking her out of heaven, Spike didn't come to her 'rescue' at the end, the whole bit. How would Season Six change? Would Buffy have still thrown herself at Spike? Would Tara confront Willow about the magic abuse? Would Willow attempt the Tabula Rasa spell? Would Xander still leave Anya at the altar? When would Buffy finally blow up at her friends? How would Willow cope? Would she go Dark Phoenix?
Obviously this is gonna be an angsty ride, but I for one would like to see one of our talented writers take this one on. What say thee?
