I am enjoying "Angel", although it hasn't kept me from missing 
"Buffy".  There are three other programs I think are worth watching both 
for entertainment and for quality.

"Karen Sisco" is new this season.  It's based on Elmore Leonard's "Out of 
Sight" and manages to capture his quirky situations and characters with 
sincerity and grace.  Great writing and an outstanding cast hooked me 
immediately.  There hasn't been a bad episode so far.

"Law & Order" is one of the most formulaic shows around, but it is always 
sharply written and wonderfully acted.  Even with all the changes in cast 
over the years it has maintained a very high standard of quality.

"CSI" started out as a guilty pleasure, but the writing and acting have 
improved every season to the point where it is now actually quite a good 
show, as well as being a lot of fun to watch.
