No, actually, that's a mislead.  

The record Moloch pulls up in "I Robot, You Jane" does show a birthdate
of 10/24/80 for Buffy, but the record we then see on Fritz's monitor
shows a birthdate of 05/06/79.

It's a joke on the differences between Movie!Buffy (who was a senior)
and Series!Buffy (who was a sophomore).  Joss was very involved in the
post-production of this episode (for example, he provided the voice of
the radio announcer in Act 3), and decided to slip this in.

Neither date is meant to be taken seriously, and the show affirms
Buffy's 1981 birthdate as quickly as two episodes later (the tombstone
in "Nightmares").

If you're a real obsessive, you can have some fun using the
frame-by-frame feature on your DVD player, and checking out all the
other "students" whose records flash by.  There was one guy who was a
cheerleader, IIRC.
